When your bride…
Lives for Kona brown. Will go to the ends of the earth (or India), for the perfect block print linens. Agrees that a sisal runner is a good idea in the middle of winter. Wants @mrsaliceshop wicker urns as much as you do. Agrees on the same Portuguese pottery you love from @squigglerentals . Picks mod lounge furniture from @taylorcreativeinc to create the coolest bar ever. Personalizes her wedding with family musicians for the ceremony and after-party. Buys tortoise shell glass pillar candles for the bars from Amazon. Has fun picking wallpapers for a custom bar covering. Is a sucker for those tabletop battery lamps. Stays calm, cool and collected when required to pivot (always for the better)! Has fancy shmancy burgers for dinner — and calls them that on the menu cards. Picks a 1960’s type illustration style for her invitations and lets loose with the rest of her paperie from @rabbitrabbitdesignhouse . Is an original fashionista. Asks about your dog. Sends you the same obscure images you’ve saved as inspiration. Is decisive and determined when she agrees and firm and kind when she doesn’t. Digs velvet. Goes crazy for a mobile caviar martini bar. Trusts your taste and judgement. Blah, blah, blah. I could go on and on. When your wedding client is like this one, you’re sorry when it’s over. @jessebauer (If any of this sounds like you, call🤙😉)
"Designing for the space". Glenmere Mansion is a grand Italianate villa in the Hudson River Valley, but the "party" barn is vast, whitewashed and cement-floored. Most are drawn to the gilded age architecture of the hotel, formal gardens and hilltop views to the lake below. So, how to make the Barn as dreamy and romantic as the rest of the property?
The bride @ccalaz and her mother @calabrese44 came equipped with some "must haves". A peaches and cream palette, hanging lanterns and elegant chairs. The rest fell into place naturally. I often gravitate to matching up high elegance with hand craft. And that's exactly what I did here. Feminine, embroidered linens contrasted with Portugese pottery plates. Delicate, etched glassware held its own with rustic wooden flatware. Delicate tapers and chunky glass votives lived happily together. A low profile dance floor was surrounded by peachy-pink blossoms. Light as air paper lanterns mixed with oversize woven lanterns -- hung low for maximum effect. Globe string lights were hung willy nilly over the entire space, at different heights and lengths to fill the vast room. Finally, a layout that maximized the space, giving no one "a bad" seat.
Anchoring the far end of the barn was a twenty-foot long bar, beckoning guests from across the expanse. The near end was the home of the escort card table with a magnificent floral arrangement and its own installation of lanterns above. By pausing guests just as they entered the barn, they got to take in the beauty that filled every corner.
Lucky for me, the team was handpicked for maximum love and attention to detail.

This was such a good one. Filled with the history of place (East Hampton), the history of family, friends, home. A grandmother’s beloved Cadillac (now a gift to the groom). The place where Bea and Jay met. So much love, I just had to capture it. 🐝🪶#hamptonswedding #clubwedding #easthamptonwedding
This is supposed to be a repost of an @e_p_h_e_m_e_r_a post, using the new repost Instagram button. Can’t seem to make it work so here’s my old-school, manual repost. This was my summer of saturated color, and this Blue Hill wedding is no exception. What do you think? So bright, so happy, I’m loving all the color! @alliefet@bluehillfarm
From Montreal to Montauk! Dolce & Gabbana styled the Beach Club at Gurney’s where I was setting up an intimate dinner for 20 guests traveling for a special birthday. So I leaned into it with pretty shades of blue to match the Sicilian tile patterns on the bar, seat cushions and juicy late September blooms by my friends at Sag Harbor Florist. So many details went into this “effortless” look, more prettiness to come!
