NATIONAL PBS RELEASE! Join a scientist and his filmmaker grandson as they uncover the life, secrets, and importance of wetlands. We are beyond excited to announce that An Invitation to Wonder is airing across the US, beginning March 28th! When we first began filming in 2020, my grandfather’s ultimate goal was to share it on PBS Wisconsin whose programming he so admired. To now be reaching potentially millions of viewers from all corners of the country is an absolute honor and dream come true for the both of us. We hope this story inspires care for our natural world and builds awareness and appreciation for wetlands at a time when federal protections are shrinking. Online Rental will also become available on April 1st on our website. PBS Air Dates and all other ways to watch the film will be posted to waubesafilm.com as they become available! A huge thank you to all who have contributed to the film in some way. The mentors, the thoughtful feedback, and of course these incredible people: Co-writer/producer: @pogura_maith_agat Animator: @_voidfrog_ Sound Design/mixing: @danielrojosolis Aerial Photography: @calen_albert And to the sponsors who enabled us to release the film is such an important way! @nature_org @nature_wisconsin @cleanlakesalliance @freelandglobal The Wisconsin Wetlands Association #aninvitationtowonder #documentary #earthday2026 #wetlands #conservation

In February I flew to Guatemala and joined 20 online strangers to hike Acatenango (13,044 ft), the third-highest volcano in the country. We climbed through shifting landscapes: farmlands, mossy cloud forest, and rocky volcanic slopes before setting up camp in freezing temps. That night we watched Fuego erupt after being dormant for weeks. Early the next morning we finished the climb at sunrise, watching the clouds burn off and the volcanoes come into view. Excited to be working on a new project with @wisconservation highlighting the beauty of Rush Creek State Natural Area and the collaborative work being done to preserve this vital habitat in the face of climate change 🌿 This prescribed burn is one of many practices being implemented to help “adapt” the natural landscape to the expected impacts of a changing climate in Wisconsin. #climateadaptation #nature #conservation #wisconsin

Every year, over 1 million tons of salt ends up in Lake Michigan, impacting freshwater environments and our drinking water. Last winter, @benalbertvisuals and I collaborated with @cityofmilwaukee and @wisaltwise to create this PSA on the effects of oversalting and to highlight the hard work of local snow plow operators. It was incredible to see the dedication and passion these operators have to keeping our community safe while reducing damage to the environment. Learn more at ❄️ Director: me 🦦 DP: @benalbertvisuals Shoutout to Ernest — the friendliest snow plow operator, thank you for sharing your knowledge
