Another triathlon under my belt. Not the prettiest of races, but as a wise mentor said to me afterwards, 'You have good days and bad out on the course, but every finish is a victory.'
I was initially despondent about not nailing the race the way I had planned it in my mind, but what I didn't achieve this time, I will learn from and it will make me stronger for the next one. Every triathlon big or small is a win.
Looking ahead now to September and moving up to full distance. Thanks to all those who have helped me along the way, for all the encouragement and support. ❤️

So much love for Japan, everything you could have dreamed of and more than you could have imagined. So lucky to have experienced this wondrous land over the last two weeks. Much to take away and ponder as I make my way home.
Imagine living as if the spirits were amongst us, imagine that these spirits are in the things that surround us, creatures, mountains, plants and the sea. Now imagine trying to live and wantonly destroy that. Imagine not rushing, imagine taking care and time over tasks. Imagine putting craftsmanship on a pedestal. Imagine taking yourself to a thermal bath (Onsen) as a daily ritual. Imagine no litter and trains that are never late, let alone cancelled. Imagine that what you do and the way that you live really matters. Imagine putting the feelings of others ahead of your own more often.
