Words don’t begin to describe how thankful I am to have been able to graduate with such a talented, kind, caring, and stupidly awesome group of friends!!!!!!! 😁💖 These people, and every other person graduating I had the pleasure of meeting and working with over the last two years, have not only been the best friends, professionals and course-mates I could’ve asked for, but have truly pushed both me and my work so much further towards who I want to be, and what I want my work to accomplish. They’ve given me a self-confidence I simply didn’t have before, and didn’t think I was capable of 🥹💕 Thank you to the tutors, the staff, and to everyone who helped me to reach this point. (And special shoutout to @imaginekatrina and @jacksonseib for putting up with me this whole time as their flatmate!! 😭) I can only promise that I’ll do everything I can to keep this momentum I’ve been given alive: I’ve got a LONG way to go and a million things to learn, but I’m nowhere near as afraid as I used to be. @airstudioslyndhurst round two!! 🥹🎼 Felt more confident (but still pretty nervous!!) going in this time around, was an absolute joy to work with such incredibly talented musicians and recordists again, and hear everyone’s incredible scores being performed!! BEYOND ecstatic to finally announce that I’ve been curating and editing music playlists for Disney: The Castle!! 🥹 I’ve been selecting and editing together music for the site-wide playlist, Mickey’s Silent Disco, and a handful of pop-up shows and attractions around the park (as well as a DJ set!!) - it’s been an amazing ride!! Being able to comb so thoroughly through Disney’s soundtrack catalogue has exposed me to some incredible music, as well as entire films I didn’t know existed before! (It also made me realise that Hannah Montana music slaps and I’ve been sleeping on it for far too long). A huge, HUGE thank you to @benmoralesfrost and @balichws for the opportunity of a lifetime, words can’t express my gratitude!!! We hope to bring you a magical experience rich with precious reflections on childhood - the pressure on kids’ shoulders to work hard like the bees, but also the importance of daring to dream. A young boy in Liverpool takes part in his school’s beekeeping programme. Through the bees, he begins to think about the future and what might be possible beyond the limits of his surroundings. ✨So excited to share that #Hometopia# will have its next screening at the Tirana International Film Festival — an Oscar-qualifying festival, marking its first international premiere outside the UK and Japan! Huge congratulations to the amazing director and team! 🎬 Hometopia is a short animation inspired by a true story of a mentally ill man in rural China, who spent three years building a seven-story “mansion” from mud and branches to honour his late brother. Told through stop-motion and 2D collage, the film reflects on love, grief, and social neglect, touching on themes like rural isolation, mental health, and inequality. A barely governable group of superhuman starship pilots, capsuleers wield immense power and influence throughout the stars, thanks to cloning technology making them essentially immortal - why this person seemingly chose to sabotage their consciousness transferral to a new clone is still under investigation by State police, and speculated on in whispered tones throughout the bustling hallways in which they died. Recording strings at @airstudioslyndhurst - my first ever orchestral recording session, and oh my GOD what a place to do it 🥹🥹 Hearing your own music live (and conducting it too??) is a surreal experience, was so nervous to even be in the building, but the players were astounding and everyone there was so wonderful, thank you so much to the entire studio crew!! Also every composer that had their work played today sounded incredible. Like, insanely good. How am I in the same room as any of these people? WHAT IS HAPPENING?? HOW DID I GET HERE???
