YARRABERG WORKSPACES | Becon are proud to have achieved Practical Completion earlier this year in the delivery of MAB’s Yarraberg Workspaces in Richmond.
Constructed across 6 levels over a basement car park which includes multiple car stacker systems, the building contains a variety of strata workspaces, a ground floor retail/cafe tenancy and shared meeting spaces with AV and presentation equipment. With exposed concrete ceilings and services, the offices really capture the Architectural Design Intent of the ‘Warehouse Feel’.
For us, it’s levels 4, 5 & the rooftop terrace which capture magnificent city views and really bring the project to life.

GHTP Innovation Centre, Morwell | Winner of Excellence in Construction of Commercial Buildings $10 - $15M - 2021 @masterbuildersvic Excellence in Construction Awards.
Federation University Australia’s Morwell Innovation Centre in Gippsland is set to provide students and businesses with access to the latest knowledge in innovation and technology. Opened in 2020, Morwell Innovation Centre houses dynamic spaces designed to promote creative thinking and practice and support local enterprise and entrepreneurship. Students from across the region will benefit from clear pathways from secondary school through to vocational training and tertiary and research in one location. The works included construction of a new two-storey building consisting of extensive piling due to a very unstable and reactive subgrade followed by the ground floor slab, precast panels and core filled blockwork. The lower level included a post tensioned concrete slab and structural steel while the roofing was Kingspan panelling with a Colorbond finish.
Becon are extremely proud of this project and the detail that was involved with the build. We thank @feduniaustralia for trusting us to construct the state of the art facility.

SOD TURN | A great milestone on site as the @becon_constructions team attended a recent event to mark the official ground breaking of the Melbourne Airport EV Hub joining representatives from @bp_plc Pulse and @melbourneairportau
John Lehmann, Jason McCoy and Michael Audsley were in attendance to commemorate the commencement of this exciting new development.
The project will deliver a large EV charging hub in partnership with BP Pulse, featuring 24 charging bays rapid chargers, driver facilities and undercover charging bays.
Located at the corner of Airport Drive and Francis Briggs Road, the development is set to support travellers, local residents and commercial fleets; contributing to the continued growth of EV infrastructure in Victoria.
It was a great event to mark the beginning of an exciting project for our long term client bp.

We’re excited to share that Becon Constructions has been awarded The Hunt Club Village – Pad Sites Development in Cranbourne East.
This project marks another strong collaboration with Ranfurlie Asset Management, continuing a valued working relationship across retail and commercial developments.
The works will see the delivery of multiple pad sites, including a new 7-Eleven service station and an El Jannah restaurant with drive-through, bringing added convenience and amenity to the local community.
The scope includes:
• 7-Eleven service station with fuel canopy and underground tanks
• El Jannah restaurant with drive-through
• Precast multi-tenancy retail building
• Pylon and totem signage, including new and relocated elements
• Car parking, pavements, crossovers, and associated civil works
• Services, drainage, lighting, CCTV, and line marking
• Landscaping and associated external works
A strong mix of retail, fuel, and commercial sectors, areas in which Becon Constructions continues to deliver.
We’re excited to share that Becon Constructions has been awarded Holy Cross Catholic Primary School – Stage 04 Works, Mickleham.
After successfully delivering Stages 02 and 03, we’re proud to be returning to Holy Cross and continuing our strong working relationship with @melbournecatholicschools (MACS) and the team @hayball_arch
Stage 04 will deliver a new double-storey Senior Learning Hub, along with upgrades to existing facilities, landscaping, carparking, and solar infrastructure.
With works underway onsite, we can’t wait to unveil Stage 04 and take you along for the journey throughout construction.

PROJECT AWARD | Botanic Ridge (Stage 4/5)
We’re back again at the Botanic Ridge precinct to deliver Stage 4 and 5 for the team at SRL!
Becon were offered the opportunity to deliver these stages via an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) process with the project consisting of a Large Format Retail (LFR) tenant and 4 other Tenancies.
The key challenge of the project was maintaining access to the existing tenancies, ensuring operations remain uninterrupted.
Becon successfully navigated these challenges by introducing a methodology that limited public interface while minimising impact on the construction program.
