🧜‍♂️ Offering multiple activities for both winter bathers, summer guests, athletes, and children, Eastern and Western Bathing Resort at Almindsø support Silkeborg Municipality’s vision of being Denmark’s ‘outdoor capital’. The circular #bathing facilities are designed to protect the area’s special environment and the lake’s #biodiversity 💫 ⭕️ Inspired by nature’s own shapes, the circle is the basic concept behind the design. The interconnected bridges – with integrated buildings and facilities – will invite bathers to use the bridges as they move around the resorts – this way, the buildings and bridges will have minimum impact on the surrounding environment. 🫑🥒Grønttorvet was for more than 50 years a trading place for fruit, vegetable and flower traders. Now the area is being transformed into a modern district centered around a large green park the size of 3-4 football pitches. 1: 1 Landscape has designed a park that is filled with sensory impressions and green experiences for the residents, where preserved constructions from the old halls help to create space 🌠 Grønttorvsparken is built up of three elements: the plantation, the lawn and the promenade. In the plantation is a sea of ​​edible fruit trees that residents and park visitors can pick. Here, apples, pears and plums are ready to eat. The plantation is located at the area's day care center, so the children can go apple picking right outside the door 🍏🍐🍊 🌳"The sensory impressions are important for the quality of life in both children and adults. Each of the small house-like volumes that make up this Copenhagen kindergarten were designed by Danish firm COBE to look like caricatures of homes with peaked roofs as drawn by children 🙍‍♀️🙍 Named after its location, the building is made up of 11 small house-shaped blocks, organised around two winter gardens. Each of these volumes feature a simple peaked roof and seemingly frameless windows🪟 "We have worked to create a simple expression, as a caricature of how a child might draw a house," said architect Dan Stubbergaard. The kindergarten aims to create a small village setting for children that break away from the traditional, large scale institutional daycare environment 🦖🐙 The small scale village atmosphere at Frederiksvej Kindergarten is achieved by dividing the building into 11 small houses joint together with different orientation. A beloved bridge in Copenhagen created on a cocktail of love for technology and functionalism🍸🍹 Knippelsbro’s towers are situated on either side of the roadway, and their distinctive functionalist design is a clear reference to the enthusiasm of the day for technology, machines and large ships 🛳️⚓ The bridge towers were built at the Burmeister & Wain shipyard in the nearby Copenhagen district of Refshaleøen. They have an iron construction, clad with wood and then copper.
