‘Breathe’ is a powerful short film presented by @abysseofficial , following ocean photographer Be Ryder as she prepares to capture one of the most important events in sports.
Set against the raw beauty of Teahupo’o, it explores what it means to fall in love with something unfamiliar and pursue it with everything you have.
Breathe was created to encourage women to break boundaries and follow their passion—no matter how unfamiliar the path may seem.

Struggling to find the right words to describe these last few weeks…can easily say it was the best of my career so far. I am so grateful for everyone around me and for all the opportunities that keep coming my way. I feel so supported and loved by everyone, it really helps me stay inspired and feel confident about my work, so thank you, from the bottom of my heart :)
It’s been an emotional week, with a lot of pressure to perform in back to back jobs, but now that it’s all done, I can finally take a moment to feel proud… and ready to do it all again! I love this shit!

SHE DID IT!
Yesterday was just out of this world… Away from the tour for 2 years, she comes back and wins at her home break! She won her first Gold Coast event in 2005… and 20 years later, she’s still doing it!! Dropping the highest score of the event in the final!!!

Day 3 was absolutely unreal! Nonstop highlights from start to finish. Some of the best surfing I’ve ever witnessed from @filipetoledo
And then watching @caitysimmers and @stephaniegilmore take on pumping Snapper… pure class. Two queens putting on a masterclass!
I get pretty emotional after an event just thinking about how damn lucky I am to do this job…I love this sport and to capture every little bit of it. It’s pretty cool to watch each event unfold through the camera.
