Another trip to Bayeux to get the print sorted for my shortlisted Taylor Wessing Photo Portrait Prize 2026 of Raymond Antrobus.
Believe me, great digital photos can sometimes make awful prints.
What looks fantastic on an electronic screen can often look disappointing on paper – resolution is fuzzy, colours become dull, shadows too dark, etc.
So, for the past five years, I’ve used Bayeux in Soho to make all my prints.
They’ve worked with many great photographers – from Don McCullin to Mary McCartney. But they’re just as committed to students and to emerging photographers like me.
My regular printer Nick looks over my digital files and may make small tweaks to ensure the original colours and tones carry faithfully over to the print.
As Nick has now worked on several of my projects, he’s familiar with the details of what I’m looking for – colour temperature, contrast, highlights, shadows, etc.
Thanks Nick, Terry, Iris, Gerard and Gages for always making me feel welcome.
Whenever, I pop over to the Bayeux studio it feels like a second home.

We are delighted to showcase our client @elenabiancazagari here at Bayeux, alongside the launch of her new book Un Mondo Proprio.
The book examines women reclaiming themselves through the body, domestic space, and ritual acts of self-care—interrogating how identity is shaped, disciplined, and reclaimed within gender norms, expectations, and systems of representation.
Come by and check it out!
Today we are featuring the beautiful and delicate work of artist @feiyi_wen , these are currently showing @albionjeune with artist @xiaochi__ until tomorrow.
