What makes a workspace feel good to work in?
Creating a workplace that supports wellbeing often comes down to the details. Ensuring there is space to recalibrate, connect or simply step away from the desk is vital, particularly as video calls continue to shape day-to-day office life.
đLight and outlook play an important role. At Arbor, the vast windows ensure daylight reaches deep into the floorplates, while views across the South Bank provide a constant connection to the outside. Research has consistently highlighted the relationship between daylight exposure, improved mood and overall alertness.
đ˘Access to fresh air and outdoor space adds another layer. Each floor at Arbor opens onto a terrace, offering a place to reset, reflect or catch up with colleagues.
đŹProviding quieter spaces to concentrate is equally important. As noise continues to be a challenge in many offices, the ability to step away and focus without distraction can make a meaningful difference. At Arbor, our fully-fitted floors include separate meeting rooms and private pods, creating areas for focused work away from background noise.
Taken together, these elements shape a more balanced working environment, where wellbeing is supported through everyday experience rather than a single intervention.
Mental Health Awareness Week offers a timely moment to reflect on how workplaces can better support wellbeing day to day.

This Earth Day, we are recognising the London projects leading the transition to a cleaner, more sustainable future, including Bankside Yards.
A remarkable renewal is taking shape on this section of the South Bank. Set across 5.5 acres, this is the UKâs first fuel-free major hyper-mixed development, powered entirely by electricity from renewable sources and producing zero emissions in operation.
Its approach is a pioneering 5th generation energy network that allows buildings across the masterplan to share heating and cooling efficiently. This system is the first of its kind in the UK and represents a new benchmark for sustainability in large scale regeneration.
Nature is being woven back into the stretch of the River Thames, as Bankside Yards also places strong emphasis on biodiversity and the public realm. The development will introduce 150 trees across 20 species, supporting Londonâs long-term plan to create a greener environment for those who live or work in the capital.
As the mixed-use development continues to grow, with the arrival of Opus, our goal at Native Land remains constant: to reconnect the South Bank with a low carbon future and to demonstrate how thoughtful development can support climate resilience, even in the heart of the city.

Robb Reportâs April issue shines a spotlight on Native Land, with Executive Director Nicholas Gray joining the magazineâs Robb Reader exclusive interview series profiling leaders shaping the future of global luxury.
In conversation with Audrey Simon, Nicholas reflects on how Asian capital and buyers have been integral to Native Landâs growth, noting that London is now a familiar and trusted market for investors from Singapore and the wider region â a dynamic that has lent itself to the delivery of Native Landâs UK-based developments.
The interview explores how cities such as Singapore set a global benchmark for governance, infrastructure and urban quality - standards that closely align with Native Landâs own approach and have helped shape the companyâs work across the UK.
Nicholas also observes how London is moving closer to the mixedâuse urban models seen in leading Asian cities, with growing demand for neighbourhoods that support activity around the clock, blending living, working, culture and leisure together.

From the importance of who, what, where and why, to her biggest inspirations, Alice Gregory, Native Land's Senior Marketing & PR Manager, recently spoke with BE News, sharing her greatest achievements, the biggest challenges sheâs faced and advice for those at the start of their own career journey.
When discussing what attracted her to the property industry, Aliceâs highlights her inquisitive nature and people focused outlook:
âI like to understand the way in which people live and whatâs important to them â the âwho, what, where, whyâ is always at the forefront of what I do. This rhetoric can be applied across all property sectors, from retail to commercial.â
Her proudest moment to date? The launch of Opus at Bankside Yards. Coordinating the sales gallery opening, a 500 plus guest event and several digital and international sales initiatives presented a significant challenge, but one that became a defining moment:
âIt was a herculean effort by all, but one that people still talk about a year onâŚ. Experiencing the Opus launch party come together perfectly in May 2025 â itâs a moment I will never forget.â

Southwark, SE1 has been recognised by @thetimes in its list of Londonâs best places to live in 2026. Hereâs why we think they got it right.
The SE1 area earned its place thanks to its unrivalled connectivity, riverside setting and proximity to some of Londonâs most iconic cultural institutions, including Tate Modern and Shakespeareâs Globe.
Within this spotlight, Opus, @BanksideYards has been highlighted as an exceptional new place to live. Opus will offer sweeping river views, outstanding amenities arriving in 2027 - including a padel court, bouldering wall, golf simulator, podcast studio, music room, art studio, sauna, yoga and Pilates studio and hydrotherapy pool and current pool to name a few - and a curated mix of independent shops opening within the historic Victorian railway arches.
While Richmond took the top spot, Southwark was highlighted alongside Crouch End and Fulham as one of Londonâs standout neighbourhoods. Weâve long believed in this vibrant pocket of London, first with Neo Bankside and now with Bankside Yards, and itâs great to see it getting the recognition it deserves.
