Where do they live? Children from Three Ways School asked this question…answering it with leaves, twigs, moss and their own hands. Alongside Forest artists @morgane_shaban @le__var__studio @matthewleece They made homes for creatures. Tiny, careful, unique brings and nests. Tomorrow, we invite you to do the same. Entry Hill is a home. For residents. For wildlife. For imagination. And right now, it is being shaped — by schools, by artists, by a community that believes this land belongs to everyone. Come and help shape it. 🌿 Where Do They Live? — Community Workshop 📍 Entry Hill, Bath 📅 Tomorrow — Saturday 16 May ⏰ 11.00–13.00 and 14.00–16.00 👶🧓 All welcome. Ages 0–100. Free. And save the date ✨ Forest of Imagination opens 13 June at Entry Hill. Free. For everyone. forestofimagination.org.uk

The Big BaNES 100km summer challenge has begun!! 🥾🌳🚲 Thank you so much to everyone who joined us for the beautiful launch walk around Bath yesterday evening. 50 happy walkers, 5km and the sun came out to join us too! Did you catch us on @BBCWest last night? Thank you to Lucy from @bathscape for leading the walk and Pete from @walkbath for looking after our walkers. Join the challenge today and commit to cover 100km before the end of September to support two fantastic local youth charities @mentoringplus and @otrbanes . There’s no minimum fundraising target and every £ raised has a positive impact for young people in our community. You can make the challenge your own - walk, run, cycle or scoot 100km over the summer, do it solo, with your family or as part of a team! bath100kmchallenge.org #bigbanes100k

One of our favourite things about Bathscape? We've enjoyed helping people to explore the Bathscape through walking, wellbeing walks, and our work through Natural Pathways and Connecting Families. We have met so many wonderful people including volunteers, group members, walkers and supporters across the projects! This year the theme for Mental Health Awareness Week encourages people to take action to support good mental health. So, if you're looking for small actions to help you - we hope you'll enjoy accessing our free walking trails and resources which share ways to explore local green spaces and nature of the Bathscape. They are all available on our website! Photo credits: Bath Ramblers and Ruby Barber. #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek @cotswoldsnl @bathcityfarm @cotswayassoc @bath.mind @bathurbantreescape @bathnescouncil

The Bathscape team have been reflecting on our achievements over the last eight years. As we count down to the end of the National Lottery Heritage funding we thought we’d take time to share some of our favourite bits. Over the next few weeks keep an eye out for our highlights and some of the superstars who have made the Bathscape partnership project so special. And of course, a huge thank you to players of the National Lottery for their support throughout this special landscape partnership. @heritagefunduk @bathnescouncil @visitbathuk @cotswoldsnl @ntbath @uniofbath @bathspauni @wessexwater_ @avonwt @bath_preservation_trust @woodlandtrust

You can check out Lucy’s recent blog for @visitbathuk which shares just some of the tranquil green spaces available to explore within the Bathscape! “The surrounding hills not only provide a spectacular backdrop to this most compact of cities but also allow unparalleled opportunity for access and enjoyment. Within fifteen minutes it is possible to walk from urban centre to wildflower rich valley, while a half hour in almost any direction will lead you to walks amongst open fields and wooded slopes that are recognisable from Georgian times. Looking back to the city, the iconic views underline the interplay between the rural and urban landscape and their collective value.” Look at Visit Bath's blog page to read more of Lucy's top tips on enjoying local tranquil spaces! @ntbath @cotswoldsnl @bath_preservation_trust @avonwt @bathnescouncil

Tackling the ecological emergency is one of our key priorities and our Corporate Strategy sets an ambition to ‘lead the UK in climate and nature action’. Our Biodiversity Report for 2021 to 2025 summarises the policies and actions that we have carried out to conserve and enhance biodiversity, as required by the enhanced Biodiversity Duty introduced under the Environment Act 2021. Search 'bathnes biodiversity report' to find the report online.

A beautiful bench to enjoy a beautiful view! Huge thanks go to to the fantastic Cotswold Voluntary Wardens team who installed this bench which is designed so people can wheel up to the table as well as walk up, to enjoy the view. Through collaboration, Bathscape partners at Cotswolds National Landscape have installed these brilliant benches with funding from a DEFRA Access to Nature grant. Thanks to Charlcombe Parish Council and BaNES Parks department for their support. As ever, huge thanks to Bathscape partners and wonderful volunteers for all they do to make the Bathscape accessible. You can check out the beautiful Lansdown views using our Lansdown on the Level trail which is available on our website. Try out the fabulous bench for yourself - we’d love to hear what you think! Spring is a fantastic time to enjoy some of the smaller wonders of the Bathscape. What marvellous minibeasts can you spot during your local adventures and walks? Check out these beautiful insect and minibeast resources, created by @marian.hill and available to download from the Bathscape website. What can you spot when you take time to pause and take a closer look? #CitizenScience #SpringInsects #MomentsInNature

What a wonderful Wednesday to walk and learn! Huge thanks go to the Cotswold Voluntary Wardens who led a fantastic map skills training session in the Bathscape this week! Our marvellous group were introduced to the history of maps, key features and symbols of ordnance survey maps, were introduced to compass work and learned how to plan a walk. All this followed by a practical adventure in the local area, using maps to navigate a newly planned walk... and there was sunshine! We hope that sharing these skills and techniques will enable local people to access, explore and enjoy nature and green spaces with even more confidence. @cotswoldsnl @cotswayassoc #mapskills
