Late posting this as I try to avoid Insta, but my latest feature length doc is out - Inside The Rage Machine is a big investigation with new whistleblower testimonies, uncovering how social media companies harness hateful and inciting content to line their pockets, regardless of how much it's turning us against each other. First and second days done at @landshuter.kurzfilmfestival !! We are absolutely blown away by the incredible films at this fest, from all genres. A total lesson in how to create and run a festival that puts so much attention on short films. We will be coming back year after year just to visit - we can't recommend it enough! Another @priffuk nomination! This time for Daisy, our first time writer/director. To have this kind of recognition on a FIRST film, alongside the other brilliant and accomplished nominees, is a total honour. But every woman who submitted a film deserves acknowledgement: In 2021, only 27% of British short films were directed by women, with only 16% directing features. And just 3% of high budget blockbuster films were directed by women in the same year. We're a long way from equal representation so acknowledging the graft and commitment it takes for women to break into the industry should always be celebrated! We are very grateful for everyone on the team who took a chance on Daisy's vision - and good luck to all the nominees! 🩸🦟

Very excited to finally announce that @bloodbuzz_film will have its world premiere Saturday 23rd August in London Leicester Square, at the largest genre film festival in Europe, the incomparable @frightfestuk ! The first documentary I directed is finally here! A short portrait film of an incredible human. More info below: Bishop Black: explores the multifaceted world of a young Black bisexual artist and performer from Peckham, London now residing in Berlin. Through his work as an ethical porn actor, sex worker, performer and dancer, Bishop defies societal norms, challenging stereotypes around sexuality, race, and artistic expression. Through visuals depicting elements of his work and personality this portrait piece delves into his work and art, shedding light on the nuanced perceptions of sex work, pornography, and black bisexual male performers, while celebrating the depth, broad range and resilience of his creative expression.
