In mid April, @antoinevedeilhe and I covered a forgotten war. When all eyes are pointed on Ukraine, further East, in Myanmar, the army who gained power in February 2021 is continuing its repression. Opposing ethnic minorities who want more democracy, the Junta, in the same way as Russia in Ukraine, doesn’t hesitate to bomb civilians and destroy entire villages. Here in this set of screenshots, we see a family of refugees who escaped Thantlang, a Chin village of 12k residents which is now a ghost town where Junta and Chin armed groups are fighting intensively. Reportage : Birmanie, la résistance Chin, broadcasted in the 17th of June on @arte.tv channel. . . .

India: Rape, Caste and Injustice  In India, 86 rapes are reported daily, but the true number is likely higher. In Gujarat, 17-year-old Dalit girl Kinjal fights for justice after being raped by a so called “upper-caste” landowner’s son. Her family rejected a bribe of land and 100,000 euros, and her father vowed not to cut his hair until justice is served.  Supported by Dalit activist Manjula Pradeep, Kinjal navigates India’s courts against caste violence and tradition. Watch their story on Arte Reportage. 📺 @arteinfofr Colorist : Mahak Gupta @mahak_gupta_ Director : @antoinevedeilhe   Journalist : @abhijeeetpandey Editor : @tomap_ache Cinematography : @thomas__blanc @germ1111 @antoinevedeilhe Sound Mix : Olivier Beaud Additional Footage : @jupilorge @mathieubeaudouin @abhijeeetpandey @leadelfolie Chief Editor : @heradefeist Color Producer : @isreejish Color Intern : @easyfilming #MahakGupta #ColorGrading #ColoristSociety #NewColorWork #StudioMahak #ArteReportage

// Coraline Salvoch and Alain Pirot spent over a year investigating to produce this hard-hitting documentary, exposing how, in France and across Europe, private daycare centers have become a true financial goldmine. This film reveals a system where billions of euros in public money end up benefiting private companies through shady real estate deals — at the expense of children, families, and early childhood professionals. With exclusive documents and powerful testimonies, the investigation exposes how profit-driven logic has taken over a vital public service. As a father of nearly two years, I didn’t hesitate when Alain Pirot — a friend and co-director of this documentary — asked me to contribute a few shots to the project. A meaningful collaboration on a film that will be broadcast on Arte on September 9, 2025. “Crèches, razzia sur les bébés” is now available to stream on Arte.tv.

A two-month sprint across Europe. A team effort. A story that needed to be told. Another powerful collaboration between Alain Pirot and Gaëlle Schwaller. What normally takes a year has been accomplished in just two months — an intense, high-speed journey that took me through Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, and Hungary. Our mission : to uncover the shifting balance of power in Europe since Trump’s arrival in the Oval Office. As Washington distances itself from long-standing allies and fuels populist movements, we traveled east, where Vladimir Putin continues his silent offensive — through sabotage, assassinations, election meddling, and the infiltration of extremist parties. This documentary takes viewers to the frontlines of a new kind of geopolitical conflict. And this is just the beginning. It’s called “Trump-Poutine : ils veulent tuer l’Europe” and it’s still available on @france.tv .

Almost a year ago, @wbrsl and I went to the US and the UK to interview key characters about the future of Saudi Arabia through the spectrum of its controversial prince Mohammed Ben Salmane. Over more than two weeks, we met interesting and strong people closely connected to this strategic country. We discussed important topics such as human rights, the Middle East, life after oil, the environment, football, vision 2030, soft power, utopia, dystopia, cyberpunks and much more. I didn’t get the chance to go to the country but what you are going to see is a striking and fresh portrait of Saudi and its future. A big thank you to Walid for inviting me to participate on this project and congratulations for this huge investigation that you’ve done. The documentary is called « MBS, l’arabie du futur » and it's now avaliable on @france.tv . At the beginning of 2024, I was invited to work on a very exciting project for France Télévision in partnership with la Caisse des dépots. With a simple concept, a small team, and the trust and expertise of @pacome.mov and @seencreativecontent , we followed people in their working daily lives covering topics such as architecture, music, dance and history. Camera on shoulder, we filmed in a documentary style which is for me the most simple and pleasant way to shoot, playing with my favorite bright lenses whilst catching exchanges between the protagonists. I particularly enjoyed this project. The format of these films is giving you so much freedom in terms of creativity. There is nothing fake, you’re creating with what the scene is offering in real time. So, here we are, 5 short films, following people in their day to day lives. Each artistic work was born from a unique journey. Behind each artist there is a story, a passion. With “En Devenir”, an original series in partnership with Caisse des Dépôts, the patron of possibilities, meet emerging and talented project leaders, and enter the intimacy of their artistic creation. Those short films are available on France.tv : En devenir. I've recently worked on a corporate documentary about Pierre Fabre. 10 years after his death, interviewees went back on the group's history, to the south-west, where the company is set up, and also the legacy that he left behind. It was an ideal occasion to try some new interview set ups and get some nice shots of nature.
