Alex Cooper and Matt Kaplan married in an intimate beach-side ceremony in Riviera Maya, Mexico, where they opted for a small guest list and thoughtfully curated every detail to reflect their personalities and relationship. Cooper described the day as “emotional, heartfelt, and we tailored it to exactly how we always envisioned it.” As seen in @vogueweddings .

A reception layout changes everything.
Where guests gather.
How the landscape comes into view.
How the energy shifts as the night unfolds.
For A&B’s dinner, we wanted the setting to speak for itself and built everything around that feeling—long tables tucked into the vineyard, florals that felt natural to the property, and lighting that settled into the evening instead of overtaking it.
From layout to atmosphere.

Before guests arrived, this ceremony existed as sketches, layouts, and conversations about how to transform a place already deeply personal to the couple into an experience that still felt natural to its surroundings.
The aisle was positioned to frame the lake.
The florals were designed to feel like they grew from the landscape rather than sitting on top of it.
None of it was accidental.
What you see here is the final result.
What you don’t always see is everything that came before it.
