This is me looking back…
Have you seen the film, About Time?
It’s about… time, of course. But it’s mostly about life and the relationships that shape us. And the moments in time that we look back upon and (perhaps) for a moment, wish we could change. The choices we make, the turns we take, the road we go down, the things we say, the New Year’s Eve that didn’t go the way you thought it would. They all add up to our life in the present.
I often think about what I would change about my life looking back (there’s a lot), but then, I quickly realize that the person I am today would not be the same, I wouldn’t have the same depth and shape if I tried to take away the “what ifs” or the pain.
*Spoiler alert* the lead character finally creates the life he always dreamed of, yet, he comes to a threshold where he can no longer go back and change the story the way he wants it, otherwise he would have to let go of it all. And the consequence is losing his father in the present. There’s a scene at the end where it flashes back to a time in his life with his dad as a young boy… one last goodbye along the beach, skipping stones (tears flowing).
And what I take from this is… your life… even the hard goodbyes, the scars… are a part of what makes it so beautifully tragic, even the sting of death can bring depth to life, and make it all worth living.
It can be hard to remain grateful when life isn’t what you thought it’d be… or when the stings keep coming (and they will)… yet, isn’t the pain the same pain that transformed you before? The scars are the same signs of growth, stretch marks from an older you that is no longer? The choices are what made you… the richness and fullness of the mountains and valleys are what guided you, it’s uniquely your’s… and you finally look back about time with a smile.
‘Night two belonged entirely to red. At Raven’s Nest, a dramatic natural amphitheater carved into Amangiri’s Estrada sandstone, the planners staged a dinner that looked like something between a surrealist artwork and a fever dream. The contrast was irresistible — all that warm, bleached stone, and then this explosion of crimson cutting right through it.’ - @wed_vibes #amangiri #amangiriwedding #ravensnest #weddingdesigner #wildheartevents
SPRING EQUINOX
A Love Story
Laurel and Akash chose each other forever in one of the most captivating — soul gazing places — AMANGIRI.
The red dinner under the stars — incaved in the rocks — implanted in my mind — I’ll never forget that feeling and that view.
Finally, a dress that was made for one place and one place only.
Thank you for entrusting me with your vision…

NEW YORK, NEW YORK
Ali and Jake
The ease of this day left an imprint on me.
One of the most anticipated life events, set on one of the most anticipated nights of the year. A bold decision.
Although I know it was anything but easy to curate, I believe the tone was set with Ali and Jake. They were composed, calm, joyful and connected to each other and their community. They were never stressed or hurried, and allowed things to flow as they happened — embraced the moments and lived them to their fullest. I was inspired by their joy and peace with one another — a reflection of what they have built over the years — it was an honor to witness and as you can see, a lot of fun to experience. Congratulations you two, you have a new admirer and friend in me… and bravo to Meredith and the team for such an extraordinary event.
Enjoy!

Try A Little Tenderness
Thrilled to share the incredible weekend we had in Porto Heli, Greece with @candiceedinger_events and team.
Sabrina and Magnus are a power couple — full of life, youth and love. The energy and support they received from their family and friends was electric. If you’re not throwing plates with your crew in Greece are you even celebrating?
Candice and her team had a vision to create magic in the Peloponnesian Coast… Otis giving us the rhythm and blues, Ye and Jay-Z giving us the collab we needed, Fred again.. bringing us home.
Enjoy!
Have some fun… dance it out.

Can you hear the echo?
Usually we regard loneliness as an enemy.
Heartache is not something we choose to invite in.
It’s restless and pregnant and hot with the desire to escape and find something or someone to keep us company.
When we can rest in the middle, we begin to have a nonthreatening relationship with loneliness, a relaxing and cooling loneliness that completely turns our usual fearful patterns upside down. — Pema Chödrön
I have often found myself grasping for someone or something when I am lonely or alone. The stillness is an uneasy feeling. The echo of the empty house bounces off the walls. Filling the space with a lover or noise to plug the hole in my heart that’s aching for me to embrace it and get comfortable with its presence.
When we get comfortable with loneliness our ego loses its reference point, with nothing to fixate or grasp to… nothing but God and the stars.
