SHIFT IS BACK with our 4th edition THURSDAY JANUARY 29th, 8pm! Who’s ready for a night of intimate, thought provoking performances? We’re starting the new year with a new theme, Accept Existence. Following our past events with the theme of Resistance, we recognize that for so many simply breathing, standing, and coming as you are, alone, is an act of resistance. So this January, we invite our communities to come without pressures, and just be. Accept Existence invites reflection on who is seen, who is honored, and how we move forward together. Set within Berlin’s ever-changing landscape, this event is also a call to recognize those who have planted and paved the way for the cultural spaces we inhabit today. We’d like to acknowledge the stories that are often overlooked as the city continues to rapidly transform. We are so excited to announce these wonderful artists for this edition: @baselshalgheen @kulshedrx_ @a_d_d_1_s @gux_r @laiaflynn @liniaaee @nadia.d.marcus Entrance: 15€. Reduced tix available! No one is turned away for lack of funds. See you there ✨ Graphic by @laiaflynn

Non-ego is a movement performance and social experiment that invites participants to become part of the interactive process, taking an active role within the experience through their own choices. In this moment, we share questions about our emotions, and the performance unfolds differently depending on the participants’ interaction, making each presentation a different experience unlike any other. 🗓 15. / 16. / 17. / 18. TRANSIT TRIPOLI IN BEIRUT IN MARCH!! 14, 15, 16, 17 & 21, 22, 23, 24 March at 8:45 PM Antoine ticketing / [email protected]/ 7078996 The performance is in ARABIC SUBTITLES IN ENGLISH on March 14th and 21st only. YAZAN presents "Transit Tripoli", a theatre performance directed by Caroline Hatem, freely adapted from Anna Seghers' German novel from the 40's, "Transit" with Josef Akiki (actor), Rabih Gebeile (music composition, live performance). Tickets: 15$, 20$, 25$ Support ticket: 50$ Student tickets : 10 $ EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT 30 % TILL FEBRUARY 25TH Theatre director Caroline Hatem has adapted Anna Seghers’ TRANSIT to the present context of displacement and emigration. Mirroring the situation in France in 1940, the play is set in Lebanon, where Syrians and Lebanese are impatiently waiting for visas or for occasions to flee, and where the narrator becomes a Syrian emigrant we follow in Tripoli’s streets and cafés. TRANSIT TRIPOLI pays tribute to Seghers’ unique and lively voice, and its appeal to one’s inner space and freedom, ballads and gaze, while subjected to the implacability of History. Supported by thrilling original and live music by Rabih Gebeile, Lebanese actor Josef Akiki is performing many roles, genders, accents, nationalities in this incisive, smart, humorous text where drama underlies every encounter, every step in the journey, and where love & literature come to save the day. Transit Tripoli opened in Berlin last year at the Akademie der Künste in partnership with the Schaubühne Theatre.
