‘Tis the season for squirrelling nuts 🌰 🍂 Over the last few weeks volunteers from our brilliant planting partners at @treesforlifeuk and from the @woodlandtrust have been scooping up bumper crops of acorns, hazel, alder, elder and hawthorn seeds 🐿✨on the Western Isles in Scotland.
These tiny nutty powerhouses are now being carefully stratified (kept in ideal conditions to encourage germination) ready to sprout into strong young trees by Spring 2026–2027. 🌱
Why gather local seeds? Because they carry the unique genetics of the Scottish landscape - tough, resilient and perfectly adapted to thrive in wild Highland weather. 💪🌦
Once grown into healthy young whips, they’ll be planted across the Highlands to restore native woodland and breathe life back into the once Great Caledonian Forest. 🌳💚

✨Our First Love Is Power Supper Club ✨
Two weeks ago, Love Is Power hosted its very first supper club, and it was something truly special. Hosted in my home, surrounded by people who have supported us and our charities from the very beginning, it was a space filled with connection, compassion, and hope.
Together, we gathered to raise funds for Ashraf and his family — a family trapped in Gaza, like so many others. Ashraf has been granted a fully funded scholarship at Bath University, and with the help of our friend @dionne_mcculloch and @through.thecracks , we are working to raise awareness and funds to help bring his family to safety.
Around the table, stories were shared and every plate served carried purpose.
Thanks to your incredible generosity, we raised over £1,400. 💛
Nights like these remind us what we can achieve when community come together.
