Through the Cracks is a REHUMANISATION project - what do we mean by that? This is an entreaty for us all to engage with our own humanity, enabling an understanding of where we fit in an interconnected living world and an acknowledgement of the equality and rights of all. This is what it should mean to be human. You cannot take someone else’s humanity away from them...only your own. Through CREATIVE COLLECTIVE ACTION we will be raising funds for @amos_trust ; raising awareness about the situation in 🇵🇸…+ building community. Link in bio for all the info. Help us raise £10k🍉 Let’s REHUMANISE ourselves ♥️💚🖤🤍 Thank you to all the gorgeous humans who have contributed to this: @ayisha82 @benazir.jatoi @amy_hurst02 @mohamedzouaoui.official @salehbakriart @farah.nabulsi @jemimaahurst @melihurst @dionne_mcculloch @jenbristercomedy @linuskarp @nadiasawalha @mrs_roundhouse @alximrdch @elik_harpaz @zacwaremusic @mattowensmusic @eduardolemosmartin @fenellacp @joelaishley @annaryanmusic_

A magical vigil on Solsbury Hill yesterday, organised by the incredible ✨ @through.thecracks @landgirlsgowalking Thank you to everyone who came, withstood the wind & rain, read, sang, spoke, shared. An unforgettable day, I am so grateful to be a part of this community. 3rd July. In Bath, England, around 65 people read out the names of thousands of children reported to have been killed in Gaza over the 21 months to March 2025. Each person read for 15 minutes. They began at 7am, and were still reading after midnight the following morning. Amongst the readers were filmmaker Ken Loach, writer Max Porter, musician Matt Owens (Noah and the Whale) and local MP Wera Hobhouse. The true number of children killed is sure to be significantly higher. Meanwhile, Britain continues to supply military arms to the Israeli government. - Organised and facilitated by @through.thecracks - #palestine #gaza #savegaza #israel #israelpalestine #palestineprotest #palestinesolidarity #palestineaction #war #peace #stopthewar #vigil #gazavigil #vigilforgaza #documentary #photography @palestinesolidarityuk @palomafaith @misanharriman @palestinesolidaritymvmt @bristolpalestinealliance @stwuk @bristol_stopthewar @palestinesolidaritybristol @defendourjuries @_youthdemand @carladenyer @zarahsultanamp

We are delighted to be collaborating with @roseberryroadstudios to bring you an evening with filmmaker and journalist @alhelou.y Yousef Alhelou. This is an opportunity to view his unique personal film, shot in the Summer of 2023. Originally intended as an informative travelogue for his YouTube viewers, to record his trip to Gaza, after a 10 year absence, it now serves as a heartbreaking and crucial archive of its past. This award-winning documentary features rare footage of Gaza before its destruction, vividly capturing the beauty, vibrancy and resilience of life in a place now reduced to rubble. The screening will be followed by a conversation with Yousef. There will also be delicious vegan falafel wraps, prepared by Yousef and his family, available to purchase. The bar will be open. Tomorrow - Thu 30 Apr 7pm (doors) : AI: Progress or Pitfall? Like all of us, I’m surrounded by many lovely people using AI without question, seeing it as an inevitability. This event tomorrow night, in collaboration with @through.thecracks was devised to bring people from all walks of life together to learn, discuss, question. I’ll be honest with you, to date we have only sold 18 tickets. This is a subject that affects every single human and yet as a population we don’t seem to want to discuss or confront this, perhaps overwhelming, topic. From the mass reduction in jobs we are already seeing, to its contribution to climate catastrophe, a dumbing down of young and old users alike, AI military software killing civilians, manipulation and misinformation, theft of creative’s work, AI facial recognition rolling out nationally in the U.K. despite the trial showing it is not only inaccurate but wrongfully and harmfully targets global majority communities: the list goes on. Our schools, universities, local community groups and even art institutions, are all using AI without question. It is perhaps the most obvious example of an intersectional issue that I have ever seen. Social justice groups, climate groups, educators, parents, minoritised communities, creators, parents and carers, community organisations, local councils and government ministers: every single person I know should be interested in this topic. It is the single most unifying and urgent topic of our times. If you’re free and @curzonclevedon is reachable for you tomorrow evening, then please come along and be part of the conversation. Please share this post. And if you can’t make it, start having conversations with people, let’s step out of the British discomfort of talking about anything other than the weather - although too tip is that will be part of this debate if we don’t start the conversation quickly enough. Thu 30 April 7pm doors. AI: Progress or Pitfall?

Never before has such a major development happened so fast, so widespread and yet with so little understanding. What is AI? Have we ushered in a helpful friend to lend a hand to human evolution or an untameable beast of the apocalypse? There is not a human on the planet unaffected by the topic of this conversation. Whether you’re worried about the future of the job market for you and your children, environmental implications or scientific breakthroughs; this touches us all and is therefore an urgent and vital needed conversation. Join us for the debate. Artificial Intelligence: Progress Or Pitfall? Thu 30th April 7pm doors Tickets via the link in bio or our website.
