Last night @yoursonguk aired on our screens for the first episode. Some of the reviewers have missed the point of the show. I just wanted to say how proud I was for what we witnessed and for the incredible people who had the bravery to come on the show and expose themselves in a very vulnerable way. This show wasn’t meant to be “impressive” or glamourous (yes guys it rained and it was in the middle of shopping areas) it was meant to be about understanding that everyone has a story to tell and about the importance of empathy and understanding in a time where it is lacking. I felt like meeting the singers and the way they allowed us into their hardest and softest parts was a privilege and the reviewers who missed that point need to look at themselves a little bit and have some compassion. Because yeah maybe the edit or the weather or location wasn’t to people’s liking , but im certain that the people are the most important thing about that programme. Bear with us guys, we are only human.
