It’s still (technically) Horizons Giving Day!
If you’ve been following me for a long time, this will sound familiar to you. If you’re new, please go to @horizons_national find out more about how Horizons combats summer learning loss. Just another way that education is deeply unfair and inequitable. I don’t want to sound CRAZY, but it feels like teachers and students should…I don’t know…be a priority?? But until that day arrives, it’s programs like Horizons that are helping to stop the harm of inequity in its tracks.
Give if you can, but I know it’s rough out here. So if you can’t give, just maybe read a little bit about it. See if there’s a program near you! That would mean the world.

A little black tie to celebrate a fascinating and enigmatic guy. We celebrated the premiere of Brunello: The Gracious Visionary with @brunellocucinelli_brand on Tuesday night.
A film that left all of us wanting 3 things desperately: 1) to fly to Solomeo, Italy; 2) to be in head to toe BC cashmere; 3) to know what the card game Scopa is.
Also if I could go back in time and tell my middle school self that I would someday be posing on a carpet with the whole Cucinelli family and @ryanseacrest …🤯
10 years since The Panic in Central Park aired 🤯. I’ve enjoyed reliving the experience and going back through my photos (I didn’t even remember that I did a costume change in the subway car). Thank you for loving this episode so much. Thank you @lenadunham for writing it; Richard Shepard for directing it; @timives for photographing it; @christopherjabbott for coming back to do it; Jenn Rogien for costuming it; @juliagarnerofficial for gracing it with your skill; and everyone who worked on it. I had the time of my life.

It’s a hard movie to look up without making your algorithm worried about you, so I’ll tell you what you need to know about KILL ME. We premiered KILL ME at @sxsw last week. We have been thrilled by its impact on the audiences thus far. Thank you to everyone who went out and saw this dark, funny, surprising and suspenseful labor of love. 🖤
The 2016 carousel had me feeling nostalgic, so here’s one in honor of the 10-year anniversary of the GET OUT release (and as a celebration of @danielkaluuya on his birthday - which is also today!).
It was a truly dreamy experience from start to finish, made particularly special by the fabulously talented Daniel and @jordanpeele . I feel so lucky that I got to be part of this movie and I’m thrilled that it continues to be impactful 10 years later. Thanks to @universalpictures and @blumhouse for supporting this little movie that could. 🔑☕️🥛
“There were bloody footprints where mercy should have stood.” Thank you, @springsteen , for reminding us that nothing true and urgent has to wait until it’s polished and perfect. It just needs to be conveyed. He wrote this on one day, recorded it the next day, and released it on the third day. There’s a reason he’s The Boss.
And in that vein, I humbly submit the fruits of a bunch of research I’ve been doing to figure out how to actually be helpful from afar. This is what I’ve come up with. I encourage you to join me in supporting these people/movements/organizations if you are so moved.
