Yes, these are all quotes from Luiza and Chris’s PERFECT wedding day!! Let me give you a little context to each because every element was so sweetly tied into what made their day so special.
During their first look and personal vows, both Luiza and Chris referenced a time earlier in their relationship where Luiza said “see you on the other side” to Chris. And on their wedding day they spoke those words back to each other in reference to their ceremony and it was the sweetest “we get each other” moment.
The rain had been teasing us all day with flip flopping the time it was planning to downpour, 30 minutes before the ceremony it really started to come down and Chris and Luiza had to make the decision of whether or not to move their ceremony indoors. Luiza deferred to Chris and he made the call to do it outside!! And though it was wet, it was 100% the move. Shepherds Hollow has such a special, cinematic ceremony location which has a big wow factor.
After the ceremony when Luiza was getting bustled, she looked tearfully at Chris and said “thank you so much for making that decision.” He knew her and what she really wanted, even if it was a tough call in the moment! And, there wasn’t any hail 👏
Chris is in progress of getting his pilots license and had to do a flight the morning of their wedding. I captured the moment he told Luiza he flew to Traverse City that morning, try to guess which photo that moment was!!
It was a great day and working with really exceptionally kind people is such a gift. Adore you both so much!!

So many things I want to say about this past weekend but I keep coming back to kindness, intentionality, and cohesion.
Grace and Collin are kind and thoughtful. Every detail was planned with so much intention, G + C got to fully immerse themselves into their day. I think some of my favorite moments were just witnessing their deep admiration for each other and how they didn’t leave each other’s side the entire day. Every experience they had on their wedding day, they had it TOGETHER. What a joy to be in the room!
I say cohesion simply because of Grace and Collin’s attention to detail, all the vendors were able to do what they’re best at. It was seamless and every guest fed off Grace and Collin’s infectious joy!

This is what it looks like when you decide to step away from your dance floor during golden hour to celebrate that you just married your bestie, if you were wondering !!
For the record, I am pro couples deciding day of about golden hour!! If you’re tearing it up and having the best time on the dance floor, no problem at all! I’ll always ask but please hear me that there’s never any pressure! However, if you’re feeling like you need a little people break and want to take a minute to soak it in while the sun is setting, I’m into that too 🤍
Kate and Joel took their golden hour and CELEBRATED their love and it was such a joy to watch. These two are some of the best!! Can’t believe it’s almost been a year!!

Moments that are standing out today: Morgan coming down the hallway for her first look with dad and brothers, Dominic’s face when he saw Morgan on the staircase, their moms hugging after the ceremony, Morgan and Dominic joining cocktail hour with the sun beaming down on them. I miss this day, the vendors I got to work with, and this couple that I adore!!

It doesn’t get more epic than a wedding at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac island with Allie + Nick, and that’s a fact 👏
I loved so many moments about this day: the girls carrying Allie’s dress all around because the grounds were a bit wet from the night before, then, the girls cleaning her dress before the ceremony because a few dirt smudges were unavoidable and Allie didn’t let it phase her for a minute, Nick playing with his ring immediately after saying yes to his girl while mom snaps photos of them signing their marriage license, THE LIFT during their first dance, I could go on and on. I miss this day and this amazing group of people!!
