I started DJing back in the CD days before I even had a drivers license, and it’s been incredible to watch the industry evolve. One thing that hasn’t changed is the goal: great music, seamless transitions, and a packed dance floor all night long.
After 25 years of being a Michigan based wedding DJ, I still love the hugs from couples at the end of the night, the messages saying “that was the best night ever,” and being trusted with such an important day. If you’re getting married, I’d be honored to be part of your celebration.

Before COVID, my goal was simple: I wanted to be the most booked and busiest DJ in the country.
Then, after a few unexpected weeks at home, I realized that wasn’t actually what I wanted.
I scaled back. I became more intentional. I chose to work only with couples who truly wanted to work with me. I only wanted to work with couples looking for an elevated DJ experience.
In this video, I mention the most important people in our industry… it’s obviously the DJs.
Just kidding.
To me, the most important people are the vendors I’ve built real relationships with. The wedding planners who trust me enough to refer me to their clients. Years ago, I set a goal not just to work alongside some of you, but to earn your trust and your referrals. Seeing that happen now is incredibly humbling.
I’ve poured my heart into the wedding industry, and I truly believe we work in the best industry in the world. We get to celebrate love every single weekend. It honestly doesn’t get much better than that.

I love it. I’m incredibly honored when couples trust me with their music and give me the freedom to curate the night. That trust means everything. I’m forever thankful for @amichelson for starting this trend.
But I also want to be clear, this has never been about me. I’m happy to honor requests from guests if the couple getting married wants me to. Although I’m hired based off my music knowledge and years of experience, sometimes a guest has the perfect song to mix in….and sometimes they don’t 😂

Being flown out to DJ a destination wedding is something I never take for granted. The couple is trusting me to help create an unforgettable experience for their guests who traveled from all over to celebrate them.
