It’s hard to believe it’s been a year today since I launched my @substack ! What began as a simple extension of our work has become one of our favorite ways to share more thoughtfully and in more detail.

We’re in the midst of a beautiful wedding build, which has us reflecting on this very special collaboration with David Stark for Jenna & Jeremy. Creating from scratch is something we truly love. In a lot of ways, the work we do for these gorgeous tents is akin to building and designing a home. After surveying the site, we develop the foundation, think through the functionality and scale of the space, and then begin layering on the design and beauty. The months of planning and preparing build in excitement, and once the installation starts, it feels like showtime!
J&J’s striped, coffered ceiling and pattern-forward palette of blue and white and rich burgundy reds will always have our heart!

We were thrilled to introduce Kendall and her mother to the @emiliawicksteadbridal team to dream up their wedding weekend wardrobe. Kendall had long envisioned this cape silhouette, and the team brought it to life beautifully, along with a fabulous gown for her mother.

When we draft design decks for intimate dinners, we always present a few directions. This one was the “wild card,” and we’re always refreshed when clients choose to take the bolder path. The reward is almost always worth it.
Looking back to this summer dinner, where a vibrant table came together through layered color, pattern, and candlelight. @studioimbue wove dahlias down the table in a mix of Murano and wicker vessels, while @acquolina.catering treated guests to a best-of-summer menu.
