“Traiettorie” is the title of the track that is going to be premiered on Bandcamp this Friday 27.02. This work speaks of the sincere and profound perception of ourselves. The artists compare their childhood memories and perceptions of themselves and analyze their choice to pursue a career in music from an emotional and relational point of view, i.e., in relation to how this choice was also pursued because of the confirmation and appreciation they received during early childhood. The experiences gathered during his residency in Turin led @iamatomi to write the poem “Traiettorie” (Trajectories), from which the song takes its name. ____ TRAIETTORIE Traiettorie su traiettorie di Soli antichi e risorti. Si forgia il tuo corpo di sogni folli e contorti. Ti annulli nel riflesso di te stesso ai piedi del gelso e lanci le more nello stagno, contando i cerchi nell’acqua come fossero strati di pelli morte. Col sapore di sangue ti rialzi ancora una volta Esisti solo per esistere, nel paradosso del tempo, porta dopo porta. Ti rompi le ossa. Ricresceranno non temere! Escogiti piani, mentre fagociti la risposta Il senso non è perso, non c’è mai stato e così assisti assorto al tuo esistere, finché qualcuno non ti lascia alla porta con la bocca squarciata, balbetti che un tempo il sole girava per te. The Eighth Climate series by @atmerecords In dialogue with the artists: “Corgiat’s childhood home comes after the exploration of the city, as if the process of discovery started from the present moment and moved backwards in time, touching in a non-linear way the place where souls reunite and bodies disappear: the Monumental Cemetery of Turin. At Massi Erratici, we relive two different childhoods but the same immobility. The almost magical mist that changes our perception of reality is present in both places where the artists grew up: Carpi and Turin. We observed ourselves in creative dialogue, in that continuous exchange between the desire to solidify our idea and the maturity to know how to mediate. Our egos dialogued with each other in the composition, finding a balance that is not a disordered sum of presences, but a collaborative synthesis. It is in this clarity and maturity that the piece found its broadest and most abstract form: not through the prevalence of one over the other, but through the construction of a common space, where the individual voice is transformed and becomes part of a shared vision.” Artists: @_corgiat_ / @iamatomi 🪸

“Grow old with me the best is yet to …” Unlike the first release of the “The Eighth Climate” series - La Morte de Granchio, produced in collaboration with the Italian composer Demetrio Cecchitelli: a study of darkness and the liminal nature of the Rimini area, this time the formation of the ego becomes the main subject, in a differently liminal territory such as that of the Massi Erratici (erratic boulders), present in the esoteric surroundings of Turin. The encounter between the two artists @_corgiat_ and @iamatomi is encapsulated in a multi-layered analysis of the process of ego consolidation during childhood and early adolescence. The places visited are fundamental parts of the Turin artist’s growth and are shared with Setti with the aim of reconstructing memories and analyzing mnemonic and territorial perception from a new and more mature point of view. The result of the this process is a visceral track with lyrics in Italian, a stream of consciousness with a harsh-post club-aesthetics, to be release in pre-order on Feb. 27th via @atmerecords Bandcamp. 🪸

Lullaby in Opus Scops Minor by @veniceclimatechangepavilion is the closing track of Within Flood. Born in Venice, VCCP (Venice Climate Change Pavilion) is an ephemeral diffused pavilion spread into the lagoon, with prototypes available to everybody, anytime. Unveiling ephemeral and invisible layers of an eco-systemic lagoon and not an ego-systemic city. As VCCP, the aim is to work on-field (public space, natural spaces) to radically re-design and compose the relationship between humans and climate (in the current context of polycrisis). The sonic approach enables citizens to perceive and reflect on invisible ecological conditions.The hybrid instruments translate data into physical and sense-able knowledge,with an artscience approach, giving humans active agency in composing new narratives of sensing awareness. In this EP, as VCCP, the track is a composition made by Letizia Artioli with Alberto Tricarico. 🌊 About the track: Lullaby In Opus Scops Minor is a live sonic composition. The lullaby embeds data from disruptive floods that happened between 2023 and 2024, live weather data (the cloud scanning from weather satellite data) at the moment of the live performance, and field recordings of the places before and after the floods hitting. Lullaby In Opus Scops Minor, is an in-between space connecting us to the Earthly turbulences in the new climate regime: it exchanges our inner floods with external droughts, and we escape our inner droughts to swallow into external floods. Inspirit by @shes_excited is the fourth track of Within Flood project. Anne Wichmann aka She’s Excited! is an award-winning music producer, sound artist and performer based in Brooklyn and Munich. Being an accomplished Yoga teacher, she writes and produces meditative soundscapes and songs for meditation apps and Yoga classes. Anne wants her work to bring together different communities to reverse defragmentation, and her sound art addresses pressing topics like global warming, the fears of AI and immigration. 🌊 About the track: “Inspirit” by Anne Wichmann aka She’s Excited! uses the framework of a classic lullaby: a gentle chord progression, a repetitive structure, a calm rhythm, and minimalist instrumentation on top of a nostalgic quality. Within that musical form live additional layers of scientific and symbolic approaches. “Inspirit” is layered with subtle delta binaural beats which are associated with the deepest levels of relaxation and restorative, healing sleep. Peaceful field recordings from regions that suffered from extreme floods in the past 30 years. It Seeps Everywhere by SEC_ is the third track of the VA compilation “Within Flood”. SEC_ is the moniker of Domenico Napolitano, Italian musician, composer and researcher. His work explores cultures of sound and listening, with attention to media materialities and their implications on sensory diversity. He uses the Revox reel to reel tape recorder to create multiform and crooked sound collages and manipulations in real time. Employing tapes in conjunction with digital instruments and feedback devices, he seeks to bring musique concrète into the territories of clubbing and noise, creating strange and fascinating creatures. 🌊 About the track: The flood seeps into the psyche, like a slow crack that widens over time. It strikes deep, in the body and the mind. The lens of the flood alters your vision: an area that would be considered incredibly fertile on paper now appears fragile; There’s a cognitive vertigo in realizing how quickly an equilibrium we believed eternal can collapse. The immediate response to this vertigo is always the same—whether it’s in relationships, work, or the environment: contain, tame, shield oneself from the emotion felt. Llera del Turia by @ius____ is the second track of this project. IUS is an Italian DJ and producer of African heritage, founder of the Venice-based project Opificio. Residing in the Venetian lagoon, IUS’s musical vision, initially shaped by diverse cultural inputs, has since transitioned toward the pervasive presence of nature and the ancestral. His exploration of techno sub-genres, driven by rhythm, repetition, and natural variations, forms the core of his artistic journey, resulting in a deeply meditative experience. 🌊 About the track: IUS’s track takes inspiration from Valencia’s original riverbed—now a lush green corridor that runs north to south, offering a continuous walkway through the city. La “Llera del Turia” refers to the original site of the Turia River, which was diverted outside the city as part of one of the most ambitious urban redevelopment projects in a modern European city. The composition aims to create a listening experience that evokes a sense of movement, achieved through the layering of sonic elements and the progressive intensification of their presence. Sale by ATŌMI is the opening track of the various artists compilation Within Flood. The Berlin-based Italian music producer and sound artist Lorenzo Setti, founder of the lichen label ATME Records, converges elements of immersive installation art, spatial sound design and interactive A/V performance. His sound touches a wide range of electronic music genres, such as ambient-techno, mystic minimalism and cinematic with hints of contemporary classical music. 🌊 About the track: ATŌMI’s layering of field recordings gathered between the Amalfi Coast and Berlin, brings two different scenarios into dialogue, both connected by their proximity to water: the Mediterranean Sea and the Spree River. During the slow development of the track, the artist unfolds and merges electronic and synthetic sounds, letting them take more and more space in the soundscapes until they become the main source of sound, changing the listener’s now accustomed perception from a soundscape based on field recordings recorded in an open air environment to an almost completely synthetic soundscape.
