Splinter is an Antwerp-based artist collective of printmakers who studied or graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp, with a focus on contemporary printmaking. The core idea is to support printmakers and make the medium more accessible both technically and intellectually.
The work on show spans a wide range of techniques and sensibilities — screen print, etching, lithography, relief, risography, monoprint, and methods that resist easy categorisation. It spans generations of students and graduates and different understandings of what printmaking can do and where it can go.
For Antwerp Art Weekend 2026, we bring together old members and new ones — a reunion that is less about nostalgia and more about what still connects us.
