Something new is beginning to unfold in Antwerp…
Behind the scenes, artists, gallerists, curators, writers, performers, and many others have been shaping the next edition of Antwerp Art Weekend, together with graphic design studio @vrintskolsteren , who created a new visual identity.
From 14–17 May 2026, contemporary art will once again move through the city, unfolding exhibitions, events and gatherings.
Our full program will be revealed soon.

In the earthworm/digging i did, Charlotte Daniëlse takes the nitrogen issue in Europe—zooming in on Zeeland, where she has her roots—as a starting point. An issue that manifests itself in a decline of biodiversity due to sour and oversaturated soil. In a video installation, she adopts a bottom-up perspective experienced through the protagonist: an earth worm. She touches on our relationship with food, soil and the sculpting and changing of the landscape. At the same time, the invisible element nitrogen attempts to become visible.
Discover the work by Charlotte Daniëlse at M HKA, our central location during Antwerp Art Weekend 2025, on the museum’s 6th floor!

PFA(rt)S presents a landscape of exposure: a multimedia installation exploring the tension between our physical proximity to pollution and our societal inability to see it. Challenging us to confront the reality of accountability on a forever-polluted planet, the work invites audiences not only to reflect, but also to actively engage with these realities as they experience the installation.
Hosted by @maleza__colectiva (Dayana Corzo Joya & Marta Meers)
Participating artists are Delta van Melle, Noortje De Brouwer, Emma de Cicetty and Residencia 222 (Mark van Hoek).
Discover the work by Marta Meers and @maleza__colectiva at M HKA, our central location during Antwerp Art Weekend 2025, on the museum’s 6th floor and it's rooftop terrace.
Tomorrow, @maleza__colectiva will host the PFAS Panel Picnic. From 11:00 everyone is invited for an informal picnic talk hosted by PFA(rt)S.
The Antwerp Art Graduation Prize exhibition is generously supported by @loterienationaleloterij
