The logic of gardening most often involves processes of preparation, organization, arrangement, maintenance, and harvesting. In perfect symmetry with artistic practices, studio work, and the conceptual play inherent in creation, these actions transform the exhibition space into an organic complex, one that captures the viewer’s curiosity through its abundance and multifaceted nature. The nature of these cultivated forms, carefully planted and nurtured within the intimacy of studios, proves to be intricate precisely because of this distinctiveness. Stylistic deviations from a major framework form the key by which Garden of Hooks should be perceived.

For this year’s @jecza_gallery x @himera.ro summer show, we invited participating artists to speak about their practices and the works on view in this new series we introduced last week — Artists in their own words.
In this episode, @yavor.kostadinov , @vik.ronai , and @tania_simonca share their perspectives — from elemental forces and the tension between figuration and abstraction, to the dialogue between the tactile and the virtual, and the staged atmospheres of suspended human presence.
Garden of Hooks is curated by @norbertfilep and on view across both our gallery spaces until September 7.

Onboards Biennale transformed Antwerp’s urban landscape into an unfolding exhibition, reimagining billboards as sites of collective artistic encounter.
From July 14 to 28, one hundred contemporary artists explored the relationships between people, objects, and ideas, transforming the city into a space for dialogue and exchange.

The versatile Frans Dille (1909-1999) was a celebrated graphic artist, draftsman and watercolourist, and an inspiring teacher.

Honor to have been selected for Jeno Barcsay Award Competition few months ago.
The competition/ exhibition was held in MKE Barcsay Hall at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts in Budapest. On its anniversary of the 125th birthday Jenő Barcsay Award Competition was open for international applications as well.
The prize bearing the name of Jenő Barcsay it is presented under the care of the Department of Art Anatomy, Drawing and Geometry, every year since 1990, on the birthday of Jenő Barcsay, on January 14. The work of life authentically combines the technique-based sensory creative practice, synergically connects the classical art practice (geometric, drawing, anatomical) and the creative, experimental visual art activity that builds up for it.
In addition to the cash prize, the winners also receive a bronze plaque, numbered by Miklós Borsos.

This weekend, we’re excited to be part of @noapteaalbaagaleriilor , giving you an extra chance to visit the exhibition Unveiling the Traces of My Own Shadow on Saturday and Sunday from 8PM to 12AM.
In this show, @tania_simonca delves into memory, capturing how traces of our experiences shape us. @szidoniabandi uses a cactus metaphor to fill the absence of the human figure, standing in for the unseen. Meanwhile, @cristinart_chirila s works subtly reflect human anxiety and the search for alignment in empty spaces.
