This week so far for me looked like…
Movement coaching with this years theatre cohort @oxygen_college Creative mentoring/rehearsal room problem solving fun times on an exciting new solo work by @hello.baulchie at @geelongartscentre All my regular private singing students AND the start of developing an exciting new show with my fave strange siblings @nategilkescreative & @jolyon_james (This one is going to be EPIC)
The more I make and play the more space I have to make and play. It’s pretty wonderful.
Oh. And you want to come and dance with me I’m taking an open musical theatre class at @stageartsgeelong next Wednesday night and I’m pretty sure it’ll be the most fun.

So many wonderful goals smashed in the studio the last few weeks. In audition land I’ve had students working on material for their end of year musical theatre shows in Geelong, scene work for school plays, self tapes, call backs for a show at The Hayes in Sydney. Regardless of the final outcomes I’m the proudest… watching you all work so courageously, the GROWTH!? It’s been bonkers.

It’s been a beautiful few weeks of PLAY in APC land. So much growth and magic. Soooo much learning on my part. Had to pull away from some other things in my life so I could fully lean into this and I’m so glad I have 💫

Our FIRST WEEK has been an absolute cracker!!! So much courage and play. Cannot wait to meet even more new faces next week and keep exploring and telling stories with you all.

PLAY. A little ramble chat on the importance of play and its role in creativity and problem solving (and my favourite thing about Imagine) Play helps me be a better parent, friend, mermaid, theatre maker, cook, partner, human… I could bang on about it for hours. We could all use a little more play in our lives… it softens the edges, champions creativity and constantly reminds me what I’m capable of in the most gentle, fun way.
