Yesterday we had the pleasure of welcoming Imaginary Millions @imaginarymillions members Rob and Alexa to the Amplify Queenscliff Youth Committee meeting for a planning session ahead of our "Jam Pact All In" event on Saturday 6 June // 2 - 5pm at Uniting Church Queenscliff.
Rob spoke about the beginnings of Imaginary Millions and the inclusive, welcoming vibe we’re hoping to create. Together, we brainstormed ideas on how to encourage people to get involved in the mass jam session and make everyone feel comfortable joining in.
We also allocated jobs and explored song ideas that could work well for the event.
Next week we’ll be holding a practice run as we gear up for the big show in just a few weeks.

When we’re all definitely supposed to be home in bed, but it’s just too good to leave, and we end up in one big jam, standing around, dancing, cheering, and continuing the vibes late into the evening.
This last jam was a special one, and until we reunite, we just want to say a massive thanks to everyone that’s come down and support us over the summer gigs, especially at Two Doors Down in the alleyway, and all the energy you brought to it.
All the first timers jumping up for the first time, and our classic regulars that jump up and share vulnerably their talents, voices, and messages with the community. What a privilege it’s been.
We’ll keep you posted with the next events, ideally spacing into bigger events more exciting spaces.
Until then, let’s keep dreaming and see what’s possible from here.

Imaginary Millions is more than just a place to play music. It is a genuine community. A place where you can rock up for the first time or the tenth and immediately feel welcome.
You might ask to play a song, read poetry, jump on the drums, sing, or collaborate with people you have never met before. It is a space for new musicians and old, for those seasoned in the scene and for those stepping into it for the very first time.
It is also a place where you can bring your whole family, with no pressure to do anything other than listen, enjoy, and be entertained.
For those who do feel the pull to step up to the mic, it is a friendly and safe environment to stand on a small stage, explore sound, and share something of yourself.
At its heart, Imaginary Millions is about bringing people together and creating a space where community can gather, create, and feel proud to be part of something shared.
