Dancing with the many sides of my spirit at @woodhq this weekend ❤️ fireside chats, yoga teaching, woodworking, world building and creature creation… plus (of course) dancing dancing dancing!! I even got to have a conversation with a RAVEN 🤯 Only at Wood Festival does this kind of magic happen!! ✨🥰 I also got to see Peregrine’s #1 fan again (hooray! Hello Ted!!), as well as meet new adventurers in the Cosmic Realm (of which there were so many - thank you @caperoxford for being the most wonderful of hosts - we sold out of Book 1 so fast!!). Don’t get me wrong, I do love a fancy lit fest but I grew up in these fields and by this fire - this will always be my fave🔥 Wood, you’ve done it again ❤️Aaand now I need a shower 😅 @piccadilly.press @theagencybooks

The most magical of gatherings to support the most magical of authors @struan_c_murray 🐉 what a gift to put so many faces to names and books that I admire! I learn so much from reading Struan’s work, and Dragonborn’s Alex is a masterclass in characterisation… I was hungrily reading on the train home and can confirm (as if we were in doubt) that The Twilight Child is even better. Aaand Mask of Chaos paperback tour is officially DONE! I almost can’t believe it… what a ride! I’m now back at Bristol and blinking, trying to remember how to do things other than talk about myself 😅 Tour Highlights include… ✨getting to sign a paper airplane!! ✨being asked who my author rival is (@ms_jessica_moor OBVS🤔) ✨Peregrine being added to a hotel author shelf (wow @oddfellowsonthepark !) ✨ seeing BATTLE FOR OLYMPUS being printed with super editor @ruthmarybennett 🤯 ✨ a student telling me that she bought Peregrine for her sister who didn’t used to like reading and now does 🥹 And yes I did wear the same 3 outfits for 5 weeks. Again. Thank you @amberivassan and @piccadilly.press for orchestrating this beautiful chaos… Battle for Olympus here we come!!

I am interrupting this regular book tour programming with a Friend Appreciation Post… without whom I would have no adventures to write about and therefore no book to tour so… yep… more action-based antics in Peregrine 3 and I hope in many, many more stories to come (pics of a couple of weekends ago in Dartmoor hiking and climbing… oh and swipe for sneaky Norway video!!). Thank you @frankcpadventures @simona_stangaciu @megcarnpryor for not letting me forget to get dirt under my fingernails before I type… these stories would be so much less wild without you.
