Throwback to our participation at Check-in Sidespace at 5 Sun Street, Hong Kong two months ago during Art Basel HK, can’t wait to bring @estellalicious to next stop at Busan in less than 2 weeks!
Introducing our participating artist represented by Ascend Project, Estelle Tcha:
Estelle Tcha holds a practice that spans across painting, installation, and sculpture, with a material focus on charcoal-and-gesso technique, pigment exploration, textiles, and constructed forms sourced from nature. Her works are often developed through repetition and accumulation, emphasizing surface, density, and physical presence. Grounded in Western formal training, the work maintains a strong commitment to composition, scale, and material discipline, while remaining adaptable across spatial and performative contexts.
Conceptually, her practice is informed by Eastern thought, approaches themes like cyclicality, connection, and continuity. These frameworks are not illustrated directly but embedded structurally, allowing the works to function as clustered systems and narratives. Cultural references remain open-ended, prioritizing experiential engagement over fixed symbolism.
The work resonates through its combination of restraint and intensity. Its tactile authority and spatial clarity create a quiet but sustained impact, appealing to collectors and institutions alike through its ability to operate with equal strength in intimate, architectural, and exhibition-scale settings.

Ascend Projects
Ascend Projects is a Hong Kong-based creative agency born from the evolution of its predecessor, Gallery Ascend. Having spent years cultivating a respected platform for contemporary art, working with artists like Chen Wei Ting, Kang Jun Seok, Jun Makita, the founding team recognized a growing need to move beyond the static gallery model to engage with art in a more dynamic and integrated way.
The rebrand to Ascend Projects marks a significant shift from a physical exhibition space to a multifaceted consultancy and curatorial practice. While retaining a deep appreciation for artistic expression, the company now focuses on bridging the gap between art and the public realm. Ascend Projects specializes in curating site-specific installations, managing corporate art collections, and advising on art-driven placemaking strategies.
By leveraging strong relationships with established and emerging artists, Ascend Projects creates immersive environments that foster community and cultural dialogue. Whether transforming commercial lobbies, developing public art initiatives, or collaborating with brands on creative direction, the team approaches each project with a curator’s eye and a producer’s pragmatism.

The Arttrotters - Artist #9 : Phan Hiền Nhân @nhan_nuno
Born in 1981, Ninh Bình, Vietnam, Phan believes that an artist must spend long periods in solitude, apart from the outside world, in order to study and refine their practice. As he reflects: “Silence is just enough for me to delve into my own world, to research and to explore within it.”
Since 2014, Nhân has devoted himself almost exclusively to painting, choosing to forgo exhibitions in order to concentrate fully on his artistic development. Over the years, he has produced more than fifty painting series. Now, he is ready to step forward and share his works with the public.
Nhân’s artistic philosophy centers on the idea that:
“A work of art must embody three essential elements: originality, complexity, and depth.”
He further believes that:
“Artistic inspiration moves directly from the unconscious to emotion, filtered through the foundation of culture and knowledge.”
See you guys later at the opening.

The Arttrotters - Artist #8 : Rob Kidney
Tokyo-based artist Rob Kidney, founder of WISH LESS Gallery, has profoundly impacted Tokyo’s creative landscape over two decades. Immersed in the city’s underground music, fashion, and art scenes, he crafts whimsical characters and vibrant palettes that mirror Tokyo’s dynamic street culture. Drawing inspiration from anime and the city’s ambiance, Kidney’s creations radiate childlike wonder and cultural nuances. His skillful fusion of marker pens, spray paint, and acrylic infuses characters with vitality. Seamlessly blending Eastern and Western influences, Kidney’s art harmonizes with Tokyo’s pulse, while his exploration of DJ-ing and music production adds depth to his multidimensional creativity.
