2025’s coming to an end, from “Gallery” to “Projects”, we have been exploring fun things to do without the boundaries or limitations from the traditional art world, “The Arttrotters” in Tokyo is definitely the highlight from the year, the perfect balance of having fun and showing/selling art, we can’t wait to bring this concept to more cities. The Denim Car with Opal This groundbreaking installation, crafted by @shukit119 @notanequalsign , showcases our first-ever use of lab-made opal without any polishing—a true experiment in artistic expression. We have explored diverse realms of product design for many years, yet encounters with art pieces that incorporate automotive detailing remain rare. To resonate with the vintage aesthetic of the 3D-printed Porsche, we made the bold decision to leave certain opal components—such as the shift knob, headlights, taillights, and car keys—unpolished. This contrasts with our traditional approach to jewelry design but still highlights the distinctive auroral color patterns of the opal, transforming them into striking embellishments within this contemporary art piece. With @tokyogendai coming up in less than 2 weeks, a bunch of curators, artists and art lovers are whining about the pricy booth fees of standard art fairs as usual, eventually decided to come together to throw a guerrilla pop-up exhibition outside the fair, yet way closer to Tokyo city, that lasts for 3 days only. We are all flying in from 8 different cities in Asia with our suitcases, bringing works to exhibit, hoping to sell some, meet some friends along the way, and hopefully leaving Tokyo without the works in the suitcases. And we call ourselves “The Arttrotters”. We hope to see every one of you passionate art lovers who still stick around during the hard times.
