RIPPLES(2025) marks the third #baftacymru nomination for my husband and I, following PALE SAINT(2019), and FATHER OF THE BRIDE(2020), and more importantly our first as dual producers on the film under the @artvomitstudios umbrella.
This recognition is joufully shared by our entire cast & crew who braved the harsh welsh winter winds to bring this dark and twisty queer narrative to life! ( *Full cast & crew credits below) #baftacymru #baftacymruawards #shortfilm #nomination #queer #film #filmmaker #couple

True story: Seeing this wee little sample of work that my team and I have accomplished over the years plastered on the big screen at @bafta195 ās Princess Anne Theatre was everything. My genuine desire was it gave some of the #YoungBAFTA and @intofilm_edu gang a taste of what is possible when you work hella hard, hold fast to big dreams and stay kind through it all!
S/o to Film Directors @abdou__cisse@iggylondon@rhysmarcjones@lions_film_bt@caleb_anelson for trusting us with their vision, and giving us the opportunity to do what we love šļø

Iāve been told that my decks are a work of art, and Iāve honestly lost count how many Iāve created for jobs I never get. I hella loved making this one - for a film that I didnāt get last year. Regardless of booking the job the time spent doing the reasearch, finding the perfect images, colours and textures that articulate what I see throught my imagination is one of the parts about being a film/tv designer that I enjoy the most. So cheers to the artwork that never made it to screen but lives in my head (and on my hard drive) rent free.
*š¤«Iāve removed the film title and all character names for obvious reasons*

This one is an oldie that Iām sure the algorithm pushed to the bottom, but it was one of my faves to design because it was hella cute and hella queer - I also got to jump in front of @campbelladdy ās lens so win win š„¹

For those who missed it, I made this dress in a day all by hand, no sewing machine, just a passion for mid-century gowns and a talent for making something out of nothing. Or, in this case out of old 19th century curtain fabric that I used in a film. Inspired by Dorothy Dandridge, Marilyn Monroe, Rita Hayworth, and Lena Horne. *The ringer tee was a late addition after my husband burned on in a very hot lamp, and I just refused to let it go cus itās from 1976, and I love it so much. #costume #designer #midcenturydesign

āTHE MUSIC IS BLACK: A British Story traces the roots and routes of music that has descended from African musical practices and gone on to influence and transform British identity over the past 125 years.
It explores where Black music in Britain since 1900 has come from tracking an ever-evolving sound shaped by British colonialism, transatlantic enslavement and voluntary migration.
From lovers rock and Brit funk, to 2 Tone, jungle and grime, this exhibition reveals the creations of British-born Black music genres and how they have impacted lives across the country and beyond - how [they] speak, dress and view the world.
THE MUSIC IS BLACK is a story of Black struggle, resilience, creativity and joy. It is a story of us allā - @vam_east
