quite proud of this one - had the honor of creating and premiering an hour long sound design for @artswitch_foundation utilizing field recording artist @nikki.lindt and collaborating with cellist @sir_rx_ this was my deeply personal love letter to all that is nature, and a melancholic reminder of the ongoing climate crisis having full creative direction of this was precarious as it could become quite easy to bastardize nikki’s recordings. it was really important to me that I maintain the integrity of her captures, as the raw sounds were inspiring on their own accord…the pulsations from inside of a bog, or the creak from birds walking on ice invoked so many physiological sensations that were hypnotic and unsettling - there’s a constant dialogue of tension and release that I didn’t want to eradicate by manipulating the sound. @sir_rx_ ‘s vision would perfectly help to recontextualize and amplify the soundscape - and being able to have a conversation through feeling alone when it premiered live @reforesters.io was really special. I’ve added some of my favorite videos of sounds in nature from various travels I’ve done in the last few years that inspired me to design this soundscape … I could say so much about how profound some of my experiences have been but I hope that’s conveyed throughout this hour journey 🫂 full hour on SC @nikki.lindt soundscape compositions @sir_rx_ cellist commissioned and presented by @artswitch_foundation

⏰ ANNOUNCEMENT ALERT ⏰ We are very excited to have @sir_rx_ join us on Monday April 27— adding a live musical current to the immersive sound experience. Christian Serrano-Torres is a classically trained cellist transcending classical form into melodic resonance, approaching music not as a tool, but as a living structure. Based in Brooklyn, their process drifts between the physical and the intangible, collecting energies of the night and weaving them into something deeply personal. Under the alias Sir Rx: rhythm becomes language, hypnotic and emotional, drawing out an almost primal energy. In a world where sound breathes, bends, and fractures; Sir Rx guides the listener to a realm between introspection and motion. This event is presented in collaboration with @Reforesters.io as part of Earth Month and the @DJ4CA global event series. 📅 When: Monday, April 27, 7-8PM 🔊Where: Reforesters Laboratory 🎟️Tickets in RA link in bio Photo: @du3ndephoto_ #immersivesound #electroniccello #ExperimentalSound #AmbientMusic #nycevent

⚠️ SOLD OUT ⚠️ . . . 🌍 EARTH MONTH EVENT 🌏 Sonic Acts of Nature unfolds as an auditory documentation of transformation, inviting you to bathe in an immersive listening environment of underground sounds.
Rooted in artist @nikki.lindt rarely accessible subterranean arctic soundscapes and shaped through @x3butterfly genre-fluid practice, this performance will weave subterranean sounds into a sonic field, tracing the frequency of a warming and shifting world, where underground rhythmic vibrations reflect nature’s increased BPM.  Part DJ set, part environmental soundscape — Sonic Acts of Nature offers a space to listen closely and feel ecological shifts beyond data or language. As temperatures change and our climate evolves, so do the sounds and rhythms of nature. Glaciers melt, permafrost thaws, tundras fade while sea levels rise, rivers accelerate, and storms intensify. This is an assembly of disappearing and drifting sounds, where ecological transformation becomes audible through vibrational fragments and rhythms. Presented by Art Switch in collaboration with @reforesters.io and the @djs4ca global event series for Earth Month. More details about DJs4CA in our link in bio.  📅 When: Monday, 04.27.2026, 7-8pm

Looking back on a luminous afternoon at NOoSPHERE Arts 🌿- one of the last warm, sunlit days of the year. The rooftop garden became a space for sensing, listening, and embodied attention. After a dense program grounded in empirical knowledge, we shifted - toward music, sound, and embodied perception. The most ancient forms of sensing, operating beyond words. A space not for analysis, but for tuning in. We transformed the rooftop into a living performance environment: a subtle, wind- and plant-informed, exceptional and inviting soundscape by Maria Takeuchi and Alec Fellman of @sound_of_ma which created a deeply contemplative atmosphere amid the flowering rooftop and its strikingly apocalyptic industrial surroundings. This was followed by an activation by Ritta Ikonen, inviting participants to embody leaf-like perception. The day closed with grounding healing frequencies from experienced healer Mel Rio and her Tibetan healing bowl ensemble. Deeply grateful to @noospherearts , Sol Kjøk @lastfrontiernyc and @daniela_holban for making this generous and thoughtful closing chapter of Sensing Change Festival possible. Looking back on Sensing Change Festival this October 🍂 — One of the highlights was the symposium at Parsons School of Design, hosted in collaboration with Harpreet Sareen’s Synthetic Ecosystems Lab, where visual art, mathematical systems, and speculative design converged. Through the symposium Rhythms of Change: Communities, Systems & Sensing Transformation, we explored how human and more-than-human bodies adapt, reorganize, and signal transformation in times of planetary uncertainty. Keynote by Daniel H. Rothman (MIT) offered a deep dive into carbon dioxide tipping points and the mathematical thresholds of atmospheric change - tracing planetary fragility across geological time scales. His lecture grounded the symposium in the urgency of Earth system science and set the stage for interdisciplinary response. From ecological instability to biohybrid sensing and the poetics of attention, we asked: how do ecosystems register stress—and how might we learn to listen differently? Huge thanks to our brilliant speakers: Harpreet Sareen (Parsons School of Design), Andreas Weber (UdK Berlin), Tega Brain (NYU), and to Abigail Pérez Aguilera (The New School) for steering the conversation with such clarity. Grateful to everyone who joined us in sensing, reflecting, and imagining what change might feel like. 🌍✨ Sensing Change Festival is a collaborative project between Transparent Eyeball and Art/Switch, supported by @ministerstvokultury @1014nyc @teigerfoundation . @tegabrain #sensingchange #artswitch #transparenteyeball #transdisciplinaryfestival #artandscience

We’re excited to look back on our activities of 2025 and share some moments from our festival Sensing Change, organized in NYC in October 2025 In partnership with @biobat.artspace we hosted an afternoon exploring how plants sense the world, adapt to change and communicatie together. Our speakers @remina.greenfield @ehenaff @terreform_1 and @modernbiology101 explored topics from mushroom vibrations to kelp DNA and plant agency in research contexts. BioBAT Art Space’s industrial floors were transformed by artistic video contributions and the space filled with light and sound with @sabina_ahn hypnotic performance DIY Bionoise. With gratitude to Elena Sotekaris and the entire BioBAT team for making this all possible and thank you to everyone who made the adventurous trek to the Brooklyn Army Terminal to travel with us through the botanical world. It was a pleasure to have you all with us 🍄🌱 Sensing Change Festival is a collaborative project between Transparent Eyeball and Art Switch, supported by @ministerstvokultury @1014nyc @teigerfoundation .
