Hi my friends I know this is a vulnerable and personal post. I love posting musical content but I know many of us go through these heavy experiences of heartbreak, health issues and trauma in our own lives and I’m just letting you know that you’re not alone.
You are enough and you’re amazing and I feel like in an era that’s becoming more AI driven and often too expensive for many of us to even survive, it’s okay to feel overwhelmed. I’m considering posting different kinds of content from time to time, and I don’t want to annoy anyone but I’m trying to be more true to my own humanity. This was such a hard time for me personally so I’m manifesting love and hope for the future!
Today and everyday is Earth Day! 🌎 I wish for us to all live harmoniously on this extraordinary planet.

Just got back from recording with the great @theetammymccannjazz the last few days at Soundmine in Chicago for her next album Black Sun! I’m thankful to have been on this along with amazing musicians, and to have been entrusted with composing and arranging this powerful music!

INTRODUCING: ARCOIRIS SANDOVAL ⭐️
Arcoiris Sandoval is a jazz pianist and composer residing in New York City and is originally from Tucson, Arizona. She leads her own trio and quintet project called Sonic Asylum which has been featured at The Kennedy Center, NYC Winterjazz Fest, Tucson Jazz Festival and Lincoln Center as well as many other festivals and venues. She also Co Directs and composes for a multimedia orchestra called The D.O.M.E. Experience along with bassist Mimi Jones.
In Fall 2024, her Sonic Asylum trio won a South Arts Jazz Road grant to tour in the United States. She has won a Chamber Music America Performance Plus grant for this ensemble to work with Billy Childs and her original composition “Journey to Agartha” has been recorded by the legendary George Cables and is also published in Terri Lyne Carrington’s compilation called “New Standards, 101 Lead Sheets by Women Composers”.
