What if a drawing is not just a way to show architecture, but also a way to work through it? Axonometry turns three-dimensional space into a clear two-dimensional view, bringing together plans, sections, and exploded drawings that reveal how a project is put together. More than architectural representation, it helps unpack construction logic, materials, and spatial relationships in a way that can be read as a whole. Where does design begin when drawing is part of the thinking process itself? Read more about axonometry as a design tool through the link in bio. #Architecture #Visualization #ArchitecturalDrawing Projects: -Riverhouse / WORKac -The German Pavilion at the Kerala Literature Festival 2026 / The Purple Ink Studio -Historical Oberamteistraße Museum / wulf architekten -Ecosystem - Brettenkleed. House Sota la Mola is organized through two fragmented volumes that adapt to the topography and reddish tones of the landscape in Matadepera. The layout separates communal and private spaces while maintaining a close relationship with the surrounding vegetation and views. Pigmented concrete with visible wooden formwork defines the material character of the house, while vaulted ceilings reference the traditional volta catalana construction system. Is lightness the same as lower environmental impact in architecture? Light structures are often read as efficient by default. But that perception can hide what happens behind them: energy-intensive materials, complex manufacturing systems, and extended supply chains that are not always visible. Meanwhile, heavier construction systems may rely on simpler building techniques and locally sourced materials, reducing transportation demands and redistributing environmental impact in less obvious ways. This raises a key question in sustainable architecture: does lightness in architecture really mean lower environmental impact, or does material weight tell only part of the story? Explore more on lightweight materials and their environmental impact via the link in our bio. Shoreline Studio is designed as a small retreat and workspace within the coastal landscape of Odsherred. The project combines references to Danish building traditions with spatial principles associated with Japanese architecture. A thatched roof, brick flooring, timber framing, reclaimed beams, and wooden louvers define the material palette and shape the interior atmosphere through filtered natural light.
