This is what reuse looks like.
At Kristian Augusts Gate 13 in Oslo, 35-year-old Steni facade panels were recovered from a different renovated building and used again, keeping material out of the landfill and lowering the lifecycle cost of the project.
This innovative reuse project won the prestigious DOGA Award.

The Arctic Salmon Center draws directly from its coastal context, with a custom Steni Vision facade designed to mimic the texture and rhythm of fish scales.
Beyond the visual concept, the material had to perform. Located along the Norwegian coastline, the building is exposed to wind, salt air, moisture, and rapidly changing weather conditions.
Steni panels were selected both for their ability to realize a highly specific design, and for their durability in exactly these kinds of environments, maintaining their appearance and performance over time with minimal maintenance. Plus, the panels are backed by our 60-year warranty.
A strong example of how custom facade design and long-term performance can work together, even in the most demanding conditions.

Great to see Steni represented in Belgrade last week.
Together with our Serbian partner Sistem Lux, we introduced Steni to the Balkan market at a local exhibition and the response was great! Plenty of interest, great conversations, and a clear sense of opportunity in the region.
Steni Export Director Adrian Pye, along with representatives from the Royal Norwegian Embassy were on-hand to meet with prospective partners and customers.
A big thank you to Sistem Lux for their continued partnership and for doing such a great job representing Steni locally.

Steni facade panels are used on educational buildings for one simple reason: they hold up. They’re durable, low-maintenance, designed to last, and backed by an industry-leading 60-year warranty.
This building facade at the University of Applied Sciences in Utrecht, Netherlands, was installed 18 years ago, and the Steni Nature panels look as good as new.

A school designed to inspire and perform.
This plus-energy school has achieved BREEAM-NOR Excellent, combining high environmental performance with a bright, playful facade using Steni panels.
The use of bold, fun colors brings energy to the building and creates a welcoming environment for students while the facade system supports long-term durability and low maintenance.
Designed to produce more energy than it consumes, it’s a strong example of how sustainable architecture can also be engaging, expressive, and built for everyday use.

Architects across the US are discovering Steni.
From healthcare and education to civic and commercial buildings, more architects and contractors are choosing Steni facade panels for projects that need both design flexibility and long-term durability.
With a 60-year warranty and decades of global performance behind them, Steni panels bring proven rainscreen technology to a growing portfolio of US buildings.
Take a look at some of the projects helping shape that momentum.

🚒 You can tell what this building is before you even read the sign. 🚒
This fire station in Arendal, Norway, was designed to make its purpose clear through architecture alone. Clad in bold red Steni facade panels, the long garage volume creates an unmistakable identity for the firefighters who call it home.
Inside, the station is designed to support every aspect of the operations, from workshops and equipment cleaning to living spaces for crews on standby, as well as a gym, climbing wall, and conference hall.
As architect Anders Crogård of LINK Arkitektur explains: the goal was to let the building’s form, materials, and structure clearly express how it works.
A strong example of architecture that’s both practical and instantly recognizable.

Color becomes part of the learning environment.
This kindergarten’s facade uses Steni Colour panels in twelve different shades, organized into three distinct color zones. Each zone corresponds to its own foyer, helping children intuitively understand where they are within the building.
Even the scale is intentional. Each ~4 ft × 2 ft panel aligns closely with a child’s height. Over time, children grow from the height of the first row of panels to the second, allowing the architecture to reflect their own development.

“We wanted each area of the schoolyard to have its own identity.” – Pentti Kareoja, Architect, ARK-house arkkitehdit Oy
Using Steni Colour and custom-printed Steni Vision panels, the facade introduces sharp color fields and large-scale illustrations directly into the building envelope. The graphics aren’t applied after the fact, they’re integrated into the panel surface, maintaining the same durability and finish quality.
Engineered to withstand sun, wind, and weather, the system supports high-use school environments while allowing the architecture itself to communicate character and story.
A strong example of how facade systems can combine graphic flexibility with long-term performance in education settings.

Bold color becomes a wayfinding tool.
At Høng School in Denmark, bright Steni Colour panels define different sections of the building, helping students instinctively understand where they are and where they’re going. The facade creates identity through contrast and turns architecture into a navigational system.
Designed as a cultural meeting point for the community, the school pairs strong lines and outdoor spaces with materials engineered for durability. It’s built to withstand daily wear and constant use; the panels maintain clarity and color over time with a surface that’s easy to clean.
Høng School is a clear example of how facade design can support identity, orientation, and long-term performance in education environments.

Designed to connect with both city and forest, this secondary school in Kongsvinger, Norway, pairs wood with green Steni Colour panels to create a facade that feels grounded in its surroundings.
The architect sought an urban expression softened by nature. The result is a layered exterior combining wood, reflective surfaces, and panels printed with student quotations, adding identity and striking material contrast.
The project received the Building Practice Award from Kongsvinger Municipality and has been nominated for multiple national awards.
It’s a strong example of how Steni panels support design flexibility in education environments where durability and visual character matter.

Set along Norway’s west coast, Haakonsvern Naval Base faces some of the harshest weather conditions year-round.
For this project, Steni facade panels were used to create an exterior that can stand up to wind, rain, salt air, and heavy use, while still presenting a clear, composed architectural expression. The focus is on durability and consistency, without overcomplicating the design.
A strong example of how Steni panels are used in demanding environments where long-term performance matters.
