Spilling the Tea is a a gentle, supportive workshop designed to help you connect with your intuition and creativity. In this intentional space, we’ll engage in the peaceful ritual of tea leaf reading as a grounding and reflective practice. Together, we’ll set intentions, sip our tea in meditation, and gaze into the patterns left behind—symbols that speak from the subconscious and the spirit. Jezmina will guide you through reading your cup, offering insights into traditional and intuitive interpretation. From the imagery that emerges, you will be invited to transition into creative expression through visual art and writing. Using symbol-based prompts, participants will explore what their readings evoke—transforming inner wisdom into personal expression. Materials will be provided but feel free to bring a journal or notebook, or anything special that you would like to create with. Jezmina teaches tea leaf reading in their Sinti Romani family tradition. Roma are an Indian diasporic ethnic group, also known by the slur/ misnomer, Gypsies. Jezmina is the coauthor of Secrets of Romani Fortune Telling and cohost of @romanistanpodcast with Paulina Stevens. #secretsofromanifortunetelling #tealeafreading #tasseomancy #dovernh #nhartist

Wait for the peek at our brand new patio at the end! As the exhibition “Hope Is” comes to a close, it’s fun to reflect on what magic has happened at Aplomb over the last two months. I love the hope that everyone brought into the space. Now we will grow some outside! Thank you @friend_andrea_songs for writing and sharing this beautiful song!!

Next Friday, join us at Aplomb Gallery for the opening reception for Spectrum! Enjoy light refreshments while you view the exhibition, featuring 20 artists spanning traditional oil and acrylic painting to experimental mixed media incorporating materials such as metal, wool, and ceramic. Exhibiting artists: Crystal Bailey, Ray Bernoff, Fred Blau, Amy Baylaurel Casey, Lily Violet Dube, Marti Fuerst, Autumn Gale, Jamie Ho, Jennifer Jarvis, Emme Johnson, Susanne Larkham, Megan Leary-Crist, Tom Levasseur, Alan Morse for Barbaramorseart, Julie O’Connor, Arena Shawn, Leandra Smollin, Jenny Tibbits, Carlos Vega Spectrum explores the full meaning of its title. Through color, material, and subject matter, the exhibition reflects both the visual spectrum and the wide range of human emotional experience, including the layered realities of healing, resilience, and trauma. Juror Carson Jackson expresses: “As I selected the work for Spectrum, I was drawn to pieces that felt honest. Where color wasn’t just seen, but felt. This exhibition is a collection of perspectives, each one revealing a different point along the spectrum of human experience.” Rooted in the mission of The Aplomb Project, the exhibition embraces a trauma-informed perspective, recognizing that experiences exist along a spectrum and that creative expression can offer a pathway toward processing, connection, and meaning-making. A suggested donation of $10 supports The Aplomb Project, a nonprofit dedicated to providing expressive arts programming for trauma survivors. @alanabigos @ArenaShawn @baileygal603 @emme_creative_arts / @fredinma / @haleyartgallery @sidaya.art @paintyourpeacepyp @buffalospirit86 kjulieoconnor @saltmeetssky @LilyVioletArt @whifflingthroughthetulgey @mclcstudios @rmhbernoff @susannelarkham @tom.levasseur.3
