My new record is out and about! Dig in wherever you buy/stream. Much love to @dombillett for being the guiding light and maestro of all things musical. Thanks to our mate @spencercullumjr for lending his talents on pedal steel. I love you both to the moon! Produced by Dom and I. Engineered and mixed by Dom. Mastered by @johnbaldwinmastering . Out now via @loose_music and @missingpiecegroup . ❤️❤️❤️
A few words from an interview on the record…
“This record is about contentment: being at ease with who I am and where I am at in my life and career,” explains Combs. “It’s me sitting back at the end of each day and finding something that is inspiring, and embellishing on it. I don’t think many of these songs could’ve come if I was in turmoil. I think that dovetails with the album title, because being at ease with who I am lets my imagination run wild and gives me the ability to dream.”

This wonderful tribute to Guy Clark’s force of a record OLD NUMBER ONE, is out now. I’m forever grateful and humbled to be asked to sing “Desperados Waiting for a Train” with none other than @rodneyjcrowell .
Thank you to @danknobler for inviting me along on this journey, to all the stellar musicians and engineers, and to @tsaviano for getting it out into the world.
Guy FOREVER.
Andrew Combs is an amazing artist and a Dallas native who’s currently residing in a little town called Nashville.
His Tiny Desk is highly recommended, and his 2024 release Dream Pictures is gorgeous.
His AOTY is a new one for us, and despite his claim that he’s not too well versed on new releases, he sure picked a banger!
Handling is an incredibly delicate yet powerful album from @fsblumm and Nils Frahm. It’s their fifth collaborative album and we can’t wait to sit down with all of them.
Thanks, Andrew!

I finally wrote a song I like 🦅 Don’t mind my fumbling fingers, out of tune piano, or need of a haircut.
What’s in it for me
Impoverishment is in the mind
That’s what they told me
If you can walk then you can climb
That’s what they sold me
All the burden of that thought
We’re swimming in poison
Why can’t we lift somebody up
Without the notion
Of what’s in it for me
What’s in it for me
What a lie to believe
What a lie to believe
Animals that’s all we are
Scattered but many
Any border we can cross
Any cross we can bear it
Discretions wane and then they fall
Swinging for the money
If there’s money we get hard
Hard for the feeling
Of what’s in it for me
What’s in it for me
What a lie to believe
What a lie to believe
What a lie to believe
What a lie to believe
On my drive back to Nashville today I revisited these two latest records of mine. It’s the first time I’ve listened to them in full since they were released. I was pleasantly surprised. They sounded like me. Not me trying to be someone else. I’m very proud of them.
I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who’s helped me make music, and everyone who has listened and encouraged me on the way. It means a great deal. It feels nice to be comfortable in your own skin.
Ok enough with this self indulgent bullshit 🫠. I love you. ❤️
