Nancy Sinatra’s 1966 album “Nancy In London” is released on all formats today!
Remastered directly from the original master tapes and includes the 1969 Mickie Most sessions.
It was a pleasure and an honor and the record sounds incredible!
We are beyond thrilled to reveal our third release in the Lou Reed Archive Series, Why Don’t You Smile Now: Lou Reed at Pickwick Records 1964-65. Produced in partnership with Laurie Anderson & the Lou Reed Archive, this one has been decades in the making! Before Lou Reed fronted The Velvet Underground, he cut his teeth at a 9-to-5 as a songwriter for Long Island City label Pickwick Records. Reed would churn out pop hits du jour, most of which were intended for other singers, but a handful of these sessions would feature a singer with a particularly unmistakable, soon-to-be iconic voice. His days at Pickwick would leave an indelible mark not only on Reed but on rock ’n’ roll; it was here, as part of The Primitives—a faux-group formed to promote the Pickwick-penned, dance-craze single, ”The Ostrich”—that Lou would meet and first collaborate with his future VU-bandmate John Cale. 2xLP, CD, and merch ship 10/4; digital lands 9/27. “The Ostrich” digital single is out now!
@grace__bowers & The Hodge Podge’s album Wine On Venus is out today! Very proud to have been a small part of this terrific record. Absolutely brilliant musicianship and enjoyable to listen to.
HOT DAMN! Congrats on these KILLER stats, fellas! Thanks for having us on board 👊🏻

Today’s a glorious day! The moment has finally arrived... Today marks the official re-release of Lou Reed’s final solo album, Hudson River Wind Meditations — a deeply personal project representing Lou’s final solo exploration into drone and ambient music. Initially created for personal meditation, the ambient compositions evolved into music for Tai Chi and yoga.
A big thanks to everyone involved who helped bring this brilliant but often misunderstood gem back out into the world.
Hudson River Wind Meditations is the second release in the Lou Reed Archive Series, following the Grammy-nominated release Words & Music - May 1965 — all in partnership with Light in the Attic, Laurie Anderson, and The Lou Reed Archive. Stay tuned...there’s much more to come!

Deer Tick’s new album Emotional Contracts is out today!
I’ve been working with this unbelievably great band for over a decade and I continue to be totally blown away with how they manage to top themselves with everything they do.
Mixed by the inimitable Dave Fridmann at @tarboxroadstudios - it sounds so big!
I’ve loved Jenny Lewis’ music since the very first time I heard her voice- a long time.
Today I’m so proud and grateful to have been a small part of her unbelievably great new album JOY’ALL out today everywhere music can be found.
There’s a long list of heroes and friends involved including but not limited to Dave Cobb, Greg Koller, Jon Brion, Nate Smith, Brian Allen, Jess Wolfe, Greg Leisz, Jess Wolfe, Phillip Smith, and Bobby Rhubarb Lewis.
A lifetime or half a lifetime ago, in the center of the cosmos just down the road, the world’s greatest band materialized. In the 20th century I had just moved to Murfreesboro for college and was thrilled to learn that The Features were making an album with brilliant producer Matt Mahaffey. Somehow I cajoled my way into being part-time assistant monkey boy for some of these sessions and set up at least two microphones and fetched drumsticks and hamburgers. For forgotten reasons the album was abandoned as the legend of the band progressed. Meanwhile, the rough mixes circulated among fans as MP3s on beloved CDRs. In recent history I was overjoyed to be asked by fellow Features fan Michael Eades’ YK Records to prepare the album for its first proper release and was able to master direct from the original DAT tapes for digital, and also to cut master lacquers to be pressed at Piper Payne’s Physical Music Products. Available right now wherever you like to find music!
Last weekend I had the wonderful opportunity to speak on a panel at the New York Public Library @nypl_lpa at Lincoln Center with David Fricke, Laurie Anderson, Steve Rosenthal, and Jason Stern to celebrate the release of the Lou Reed: Words & Music, May 1965 project. The tape I’d restored is now safely behind glass in the magnificent exhibit.
As proud as I can be to let everyone know that @lightintheatticrecords in partnership with @laurieandersonofficial have announced the upcoming release of Lou Reed’s “Words & Music, May 1965”. It contains the earliest known recordings of many of Lou’s most beloved songs. The tape has been sealed and unheard until very recently when I was asked to restore and master the recordings for all formats. “I’m Waiting For The Man” is streaming now and the full release is 8/26!
