Recap of my ACL rehab 4 mos. post-acl surgery towards end April by @andreasphysioblog : When I describe Ally as “ahead” in her rehabilitation, I mean that she has consistently met and exceeded her expected milestones in areas such as strength, movement quality, explosiveness, reactivity, load tolerance and psychological parameters. First, I think it is important to say that ACL rehabilitation is a very individual and complex process, and no two ACL cannot be compared. Every athlete has their journey, different surgery, different physical, psychological and environmental factors influencing their progress. In Ally’s case, I really see her results so far in her commitment to train but also in the hidden aspects about planning and optimising the small things. Not only wait for the knee to heal or wait for the public offer. It is about being proactive, asking questions and then havng a team around that you trust and feel safe about. Meaning, that the progress is structured, criteria-driven and includes regular reassessments, so the training plan can be adjusted, monitored and progressed appropriately. Rehab after ACL is a marathon not a sprint. Having these tests help to break down the process. A common saying in rehabilitation is: “If you are not assessing, you are guessing.” And we don’t want to guess where Ally is. Many people are involved in the training from Ally self, parents, tennis coaches, S&C and physios. Having data about the progress also mean we can have an objective conversation. A direction. That said, one common theme we consistently see is that a strong start early in the process often helps set up later milestones more successfully. See you at the end of my 5th month Andreas. Thank you for the training, data/graphs, assessments and report moving forward. #acl #acljourney #tennis #juniortennisplayers #denmark

My competitive dna wants to beat the statistics upon me because I do not see injury as a threat, but a preparation. To raise my threshold means I must demand a superior standard that involves no randomness, freestyling, guesswork nor hoping for a result. Injured or not, trusting the process means I’m following a documented plan, structure and collaboration from my team—that show us contant proofs how to move forward, how to adapt and how to interpret the minutest details in the right context. Data-driven acl rehabilitation means that as an athlete, I only move to the next exercise progression or phase when I pass specific metrics, quantitative tests, rather than a predetermined timeline. When I know what is possible at the moment to chase an almost impossible ambition, being calm and patient become 2nd nature to being headstrong. I am absolutely grateful for the great efforts proportionally supporting my will to be an athlete. 🙏 @andreasphysioblog @andreas.bjerregaard @zero_repetition_maximum #acl #acljourney #tennis #juniortennisplayers #denmark

Doing the work no matter what, seeing it through and fearing nothing. There is no identity shifts under uncertainty, just resetting timelines and anchoring goals. Andreas Bjerregaard, ACL expert, worked with me this Easter for 2 days, and he explained that: As we approach 4 months post-acl surgery, my rehabilitation has transitioned from the early phase to a midstage rehab. Overall, the rehab is split into the following sessions: • Motor Control • Strength • Court In the motor control we are following a return to run program, as well as, exercises that splits into standphase, toe-off phase, acceleration, deceleration, eccentric load, explosiveness, reactive strength. Each exercise stream has an entry exercise and progression option. The progression is done based on testing to guide the exercise selection —with the challenge to not overload. The discipline, work ethics and collaboration of the experts supporting my rehab program and back to sports goal have been incredible. When my knee allows it, what a physical milestone for me to once again be able to do my pistol squats. So grateful for your work with me @andreasphysioblog @andreas.bjerregaard . Looking forward at the end of the month for our 3rd testing sessions. #acl #acljourney #tennis #juniortennisplayers #denmark The sequence of exercises in my rehab reels are not always in a chronological order for those who are following my acl journey.

2025 review — A Year of Reset https://lnkd.in/eZDKyQrC 2025 was a year of reset after 7 years in Qatar. I am humble and grateful for the opportunity to deliver ACL workshops and mentorships across clinics, hospitals, and municipalities in multiple countries. Thank you for the invitations and the trust. A special thank you to Pedro Castellón Sánchez @pedrocastellon.fisio / @peropedro9 for the workshops we delivered together, and to all the places that welcomed us. 2025 was also a year with some truly great online ACL rehabilitation journeys. Thank you to all the patients who trusted the process. If you’re curious about online ACL rehab, feel free to DM me for more information. Special thanks to everyone who contributed, collaborated along the way. Really appreciated all the small and big steps. Finally, thank you to colleagues, and patients who took part in workshops, mentorships, discussions throughout the year. 🤝 We are excited to welcome @andreasphysioblog to the in-person speaker lineup of the Next Generation Performance International Conference 2026 in Kraków. His clinical experience alone — especially the years spent treating ACL athletes at Aspetar Hospital in Qatar — is reason enough to be in the room for this session. Originally scheduled to present in the online block, we quickly realised that the best option was to bring Andreas to Kraków in person, giving every participant the opportunity to meet him, ask questions, and learn directly from one of the most internationally recognised clinicians in the ACL world. And this is only the beginning — we are already planning further joint educational events with Andreas in Poland. Andreas Bjerregaard is an experienced sports physiotherapist with a truly international background in ACL rehabilitation. A highlight of his career includes seven years at Aspetar, one of the world’s leading sports medicine hospitals, where he worked with athletes from elite football, handball, athletics, and multiple Olympic sports. Since then, he has expanded his practice to global online rehabilitation and ACL patient support across Denmark. He has delivered ACL workshops in numerous countries, and his ACL mentorship programs attract clinicians from all over the world. Andreas has contributed to several research articles and book chapters on ACL injuries and is on a mission to ensure that data and evidence drive the rehabilitation process at every stage. He is a certified sports physiotherapy clinician with the Danish Society of Sports Physiotherapy and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Sports Medicine from the International Olympic Committee (IOC). He is currently completing an MSc at the University of Southern Denmark, while continuing to support clinicians and patients worldwide through education, mentorship, and clinical research. 📌 Lecture title: From Inhibition to Activation: How to Manage Arthrogenic Muscle Inhibition in ACL Rehab 🗓️ Date & Time: Saturday, January 17, 2026 – 2:40 PM (45 minutes) 🗣️ Language: English 📍 Location: Kraków, Poland 🤝 Partners: Hawkin Dynamics, 1080motion, ASCA, AthleteSync, ZeroRM, Race Pace

💥 ACL & EMG Workshop with @Kyan Tahmasebi & @myoactdanmark 💥 A huge thank you to everyone who joined yesterday’s EMG workshop at @fysiodanmark_hellerup FysioDanmark Hellerup - Strandvejens Fysioterapi & Træning together with Myoact Danmark, Kyan Tahmasebi, @caverulle Casper Ulrich Strømmen og @rimelsammaa 🙌 Together with Kyan Tahmasebi, I shared our experiences using EMG in ACL rehabilitation, discussing how EMG can enhance muscle activation, lower muscle tone (often in hamstring) in case of signs of AMI and provide feedback for motor learning and being used for exercise selection throughout the ACL rehab process. It was an exciting to dive into a specific topic like EMG and having clinical case discussions 💪 Fantastic to hear Kyan experience and how Fysiodanmark Hellerup - Strandvejens fysioterapi implementering EMG. Will recommended to follow them, @myoactdanmark @myoact and @scanphys Scandinavian Physiotherapy Center DMCC on instagram who often post different clinical scenarios. Thanks to everyone who contributed with great energy, questions, reflections and interest in making rehabilitation more objective and data-driven. DM for mere information about ONLINE ACL REHAB or ACL Workshop / @andreas.bjerregaard @teamacl_
