Friday night was pure magic ✨ Swipe right to see more 👉 Paradise/Mash-Up opened at @bostoncenterforthearts and my heart is still full. Seeing people connect with these paintings - witnessing that moment when fragmented memories and diasporic stories resonate with others - this is why we create. From Kingston to Boston, these port cities have shaped my journey, and through paint and canvas, I've tried to capture the beautiful tension between losing and belonging. The "mash-up" continues. Deepest gratitude to the incredible team who made this possible: @michellestevensart and the BCA board and staff, @juliaszejnblum (missed you!), curators @tiarrainez and @nataliedejes who truly understood the vision, @barbaraneulinger.painting for traveling to be there, and to @priyangreen Priya - my constant light through every doubt and uncertainty. You are my rock. 💙 The show runs through November 8th at Mills Gallery. If you haven't experienced it yet, there's still time to step through these dreamscape portals with me. It truly takes a village. Thank you to everyone who has supported this journey. 📍 BCA Mills Gallery, 551 Tremont St, Boston 🕐 Wed-Sat, 1-6PM #ParadiseMashUp #ContemporaryPainting #JamaicanDiaspora #BostonArts #Kingston #DiasporicStories #ArtOpening #Grateful

What a night. 🙏🏾 The opening of the @danforthartframingham annual juried exhibition was packed wall to wall—and somehow, in the middle of all the buzz, I had the surreal joy of hearing people connect with my painting Can I? Would I? Should I? I’m honored (and still lowkey stunned) to share that the piece was awarded Second Prize. To my incredible student from MassArt @erin.c.walton who showed up with her family —thank you for the support, it means the world. To the other artists I met tonight—y’all are gems. And to the jurors: thank you for seeing something in my work. I paint a lot of this stuff in solitude, locked away in memory and imagination. But to see people standing in front of it, feeling something—joy, hope, nostalgia, a question—that’s why I do this. Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it. 💫 Onward. #grateful #artistlife #danforthmuseum #contemporarypainting #blackartist #figurativeart #surrealism #exhibitionopening #MassArt #paintingseries #hopeinart #poolseries #andraegreen

I’m just so blown away by what’s happening right now... ARTnews just named our booth at NADA New York one of the best of the entire fair! To say I’m humbled is an understatement. This was truly a massive group effort. A huge thank you to Corey Torres Bishop, @azijoness , @cylewarner , and the rest of the @forgottenlands.art crew. You guys are absolute rockstars and it was an honor sharing this space with you all. It’s an incredible feeling when dreams become reality. Thank you to everyone who stepped into the booth, supported the vision, and looked at the work. We really built something special here. #NADANewYork #ARTnews #ContemporaryArt #ForgottenLands #Surrealism

The energy at NADA is palpable. Yesterday was a powerful reminder of why we do this—the conversations, the new faces, and the shared connection through art. It is an honor to share my latest works alongside @cylewarner . Seeing these pieces live in the Starrett-Lehigh Building after months of preparation is a moment of deep gratitude. If you’re in New York, please come by, say hello, and spend some time with the work. We’d love to have you in the booth. 📍 Find us: Booth C19 | @newartdealers 🏛️ Location: Starrett-Lehigh Building 🗓️ Dates: Now through May 17 #NADA #NewArtDealers #AndraeGreen #ContemporaryArt #Realism Surrealism NYArtFair NADA2026

I am so humbled to be collaborating with @azijoness , Corey, and the @forgottenlands team. We had a great time in Brooklyn last Saturday, and I’m looking forward to bringing these works to the city next week. My latest paintings for this presentation explore the spiritual weight of water and the poetics of motion—figures caught between memory and fragmentation. Hope to see you next week at @newartdealers NADA New York! • When: May 14–17 • Inquiries: [email protected] • Tickets: forgottenlandsart.com/all #AndraeGreen #ForgottenLands #NADANY #ContemporaryArt #CaribbeanArtist #Painting

Yesterday stretched in every direction. Started with lunch with our visiting artist, @maud_madsen , but a conversation that lingered. Grateful for that exchange and thanks to @brandon.brownlee and @powerboothe for making that happen. (No photos to share) Then the road from Connecticut to Brooklyn. Traffic doing what it does. Google Maps trying to test my faith. Still, I made it on time 😁 Walking into the space @warnescontemporary and meeting @visionaryartcollective Victoria Fry shifted everything. She was warm, generous, disarming. The kind of presence that settles you. The show was packed energy thick in the room. Always a powerful thing to witness when people show up for art. Met some beautiful people along the way. @gillian_wainwright l , @noa__charuvi keep building, keep going. @lillymceach athank you for pulling up. Love always. A full day. A good day. Slide through for a few moments from the night. #openingnight #artlovers #brooklyn #brooklynart

Tonight was full. A room alive with conversation, new connections, and that quiet electricity that only happens when people gather around art with intention. Grateful to share space with artists like Harmonia Rosales @honeiee and to be part of a conversation that stretches beyond borders. the work keeps moving. But if I’m being honest it was also bittersweet. My youngest wasn’t feeling well. And no matter how bright the lights are, part of you stays tethered to home. You feel it in between conversations, in the pauses, in the spaces where your mind drifts back. So the night held two truths at once— presence and absence. Celebration and concern. A reminder that while the work may travel far, the center remains close. Grateful to Lynn Lesieur and the team @foleyandlardner for bringing this together. Grateful for the people, the dialogue, the moment. And grateful to get back home. We keep going.

I’m excited (and honestly a little in awe) to share that I’ll be one of two artists showing with @forgottenlands.art at NADA New York 2026. This is my first art fair… and I don’t take that lightly. NADA has always felt like a space where real things are happening—where artists are still becoming, still pushing, still figuring it out in public. So to be invited into that conversation means a lot. I’ll be showing alongside @cylewarner , and the work sits in that space I’ve been circling for a while—memory, identity, the Caribbean, and how we hold onto ourselves even when things try to flatten or erase us. Special thanks to Corey Torres Bishop and Azi Jones (@azijoness ) for your care and vision. I see it, and I appreciate it. If you’re in NY, come through— 📍 Booth C19 🗓 May 13–17 Let’s go. #NADANY #NADAArtFair #Painting #ContemporaryArt #CaribbeanArt #ArtistLife

There’s a certain kind of love that never quite lands. I’m honored to be included in “From The Ground Up” at Warnes Contemporary, curated by Erika b. Hess. The painting I’m showing, Unrequited Love, comes out of a season that tested me. Early mornings. 5:30 AM departures. Driving into Boston to teach at Massachusetts College of Art and Design (two back-to-back, six-hour classes). A grind, no question. But the students made it meaningful. Every morning, I’d arrive early and sit in this parking lot: rough, uneven, overlooked. Not beautiful in any conventional sense. But it held something. A kind of quiet truth. I wanted to love Boston. I wanted Boston to love me back. But we passed each other like ships in the night. This painting is that space between desire and reality - between presence and absence; between what could have been and what was. Opening Reception: April 23, 6–8 PM If you’re in New York, come through. #FromTheGroundUp #WarnesContemporary #ContemporaryPainting #brooklyn #massart

Proud husband moment. Huge congratulations to my wife, @priyangreen , whose stunning painting Squinting in the Sun 2 is featured on the cover of this month’s @thehartfordartspages . Beautiful work, and a beautiful honor—well deserved. I’m also grateful to be featured inside the paper with my painting Icarus I. Thank you to @andy_rb for the thoughtful feature and for asking such strong, generous questions. I had a genuinely great time talking with you and sharing more about my practice and process. It means a lot for both Priya and me to be included in this issue alongside so many artists and creatives helping shape Hartford’s cultural life. Go pick up a copy if you see one out in the world. #HartfordArtsPages #TheHAPsCT #AndraeGreenStudios #PriyaGreen #IcarusI #ContemporaryPainting #HartfordArt #ArtistFeature #SupportTheArts #PaintingLife
