I am happy to invite you to my upcoming solo exhibition Light Years at the Kirche am Hohenzollernplatz in Berlin, in collaboration with the @stiftung_st.matthaeus , and curated by @martinpkiefer former curator of contemporary art at the Louvre Museum.
The exhibition follows the publication of my artist monograph on Hirmer Verlag,
and will showcase a large selection of recent paintings, including my (almost finished!) series The Cycle of Life.
I am delighted to exhibit in this unique expressionist church, designed by Jewish architect Ossip Klarwein in 1933, who later planned some of the most iconic buildings in Israel such as the Knesset.

First meeting planning my exhibition and book launch " Light Years " at the Kirche am Hohenzollernplatz this summer with Pfarrer Hannes Langbein from the St. Matthäus Stiftung!
The gorgeous Berlin venue is a historical building planned by the Jewish architect Ossip Klarweins who later escaped the nazi regime and planned some of the most iconic buildings and national monuments in Israel.
These two very early works of mine will be auctioned on Tiroche Auction House תירוש בית מכירות פומביות on the 28th December.
One of them is a self portrait of mine and the other depicts the reflection of palm trees and old buildings in the then newly built mall in north Tel Aviv. These two topics, self portrait and reflections of various sorts, will become over time major interests of mine.
I will of course not profit from it, but it seems like a nice opportunity to get an early work of mine, so feel free to share with whomever might be interested!

FOUND A NEW HOME:
One Euro, Oil on panel, 2014, 30X30
In this painting I tried to give back individuality and uniqueness to a mass produced toy, one of millions. Can individuality be found in the current capitalist system?
We are faced with the manipulation invested in making us buy needless junk, maybe just to get few minutes of silence from our kids.
The toy gun itself is a reminder of the banality in which violence is embedded in society making the written text "Happy People" receives an ironic meaning.
The effect of beaming orange was achieved by slight darkening and saturation of the gun’s surrounding.
FOUND A NEW HOME:
Basic Elements, oil on canvas, 2016, 85 x 70 cm
This painting is a realistic tribute to the father figure of geometric abstract painting- the great Piet Mondrian.
In it I explore the three foundational colours out of which all other colours are derived, red, blue and yellow.
The second element explored here are the three basic abstract two-dimensional forms, a square, a circle and a triangle, as appearing in various variations in a “realistic” scenery.
The initial choice of this humorous topic and composition was triggered by the fascinating challenge of expressing its rich variety of various textures and materials.
