@altctrltheband (Patrick Pentland, Andre Pettipas, Jeremy Taggart) brought their supergroup therapy class to @glasgowsquare , on their recent debut run of shows here on the east coast. An alt-imate night of nostalgia - filled with the biggest, & shiniest of 90s tunes, that yes, included some Sloan & Our Lady Peace in the mix!

I grabbed a ticket for this show and didn’t know I would end up with the opportunity to do some band photos.

Life the last couple of days has felt almost surreal.
Spending two days on tour as a second media shooter with ALT CTRL — something younger me, growing up on 90s and early-2000s music, never could have imagined. Somewhere along the way, the fan became the friend, the observer became part of the story.
Life has a funny way of unfolding like that.
Say yes to opportunities.
Lean into the unexpected.
See the good in people & you’ll find the good people.
And sometimes… be okay with losing a little sleep for something that makes your soul feel alive.
It’s been an absolute blast — and another reminder that you truly never know what life has waiting for you next.

ALT CTRL kicked off its initial run it shows last night at @2037gottingen . This super group is built around the core trio of @andrepettipas , Jeremy Taggart (formerly of OLP) and Pat Pentland (@patrick_from_sloan ) of the legendary rock outfit @sloanmusic .
It was fun watching the relentless front-man Andre Pettipas work through a litany of beloved 90's jams, passing the lead duties to Pentland who helmed the handful of Sloan cuts in the set. It was a love letter to 90's alt-rock and the tail end of the Much Music era.
