$Making their triumphant return to Halifax after a 10 year absence was @royaltuskmusic . The band played the @carletonhalifax back in 2016, but have returned wiser and more ferocious. The Edmonton hard-rock outfit has been on the road with Canadian Rock legends @finger_eleven and @threedaysgraceofficial , and garnering themselves a whole new legion of fans. The band turned it up to eleven to kick the night off, and certainly had those rafters rattling for their bombastic set.They definitely set the tone Friday night. $Friday night saw the return of @finger_eleven, a band that is no stranger to Halifax. They were one of those alt/hard rock acts that kicked open the doors, and set the example for the band's that followed such as @threedaysgraceofficial .The band brought its A-game to the @scotiabankctrhalifax stage on Friday night and got the crowd primed for the headliner. This super group is built around the core trio of @andrepettipas, Jeremy Taggart (formerly of OLP) and Pat Pentland (@patrick_from_sloan ) of the legendary rock outfit @sloanmusic .It was fun watching the relentless front-man Andre Pettipas work through a litany of beloved 90's jams, passing the lead duties to Pentland who helmed the handful of Sloan cuts in the set. It was a love letter to 90's alt-rock and the tail end of the Much Music era.If you haven't snapped up tickets already, grab yours for the New Glasgow show tonight, or at @holywhalebeer in Riverview NB on Saturday night.{ //Trevor Savory / @hafilaxdotcom }$
