The @Dior Cruise 2027 show delivered a nail double feature with glossy tortoiseshell tips and newspaper print manicures. Peptides are everywhere: in your favorite serum, on your TikTok FYP, and for many people, injected as part of a “stack” meant to help reduce appetite, stimulate muscle growth, or (purportedly) support longevity. But here’s the thing: many of those peptides are neither approved by the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) nor deemed safe for human use. Despite both those things, 14 previously banned peptides might become a lot easier for people to get their hands on, if current Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. has his way.
According to new reports, the FDA is likely to lift prior restrictions on a handful of those banned peptides, in part due to urging from Kennedy. (A meeting to evaluate seven of these peptides is set for July.)
