from the Bhagvad Gita this year
in celebration of the Chinmaya Mission’s 75th Jubilee
Ch. 2 vs. 47 addresses Karma Yoga - the act of performing your duty but not being hung up on the results of your work.
Work/perform as your duty - don’t be brought down by insecurities or imperfections
& don’t let your ego be fed by the positive outcomes
….

Yes it did make me smile 😊 so BIG
Yes it did feel so rewarding ✨
Yes it did make me feel like I’m serving my IKIGAI 🤩
BUT then … life carried on and I thought …
hmmmm…. I need to continue to show up,
prepared, fit, open…
and share what I know
with all my practitioners
I know that I’m not the best Yoga teacher out there …
but if my work impacted ONE life ….
and brought them on this beautiful path I so value and love ..
then …I’m doing my Karma Yoga …
fulfilling my duty 🙏🏼

😭 I am just completely overwhelmed and in tears !
I started an exercise with claude ai - just filing in one place all my testimonials I’ve received in the last 10 years
Dug up a few whatsapp messages, emails, and others i’ve posed on various SMs
It was meant to be an archiving exercise
but without prompting - claude said this to me !

Ahhh! A total mindset and mood shift - and so much fun 🤩 to do!
It’s been a long and emotional 8 months for me…
I was ready for a shift - a total energy shift - Mental, Emotional, Physical
I had 2 days off - so the kids and I got on a train to the English Seaside
(Yup - this Cali girl needs the vastness of the 🌊 to re-align)
A complete game changer for me …
no plans, no schedule, no having to show up for anyone but me - and yes - no meal preps and clean up !
Spontaneous, Flowing just like the water …
One could argue - that’s what holidays are for …
however - the sense of liberation is in the spontaneity, in being care free , not having a structure for a few days …
Beautiful beach walks, some sunshine, ☀️, friendly people …. and Ice Cream 🍦 🌸
