While seemingly half of my IG feed is flooded with photos from Fire Island, it reminded me of exactly one year ago when I was in #Mykonos at the truly spectacular @BelvedereHotel (playing Padam Padam on repeat, as one does). When I was told that many of their guests returned year after year, I was not surprised! Easily one of my favorite trips, #Greece will always hold a special place in my heart (for reasons most of you already know). Special thanks to @NatashaWolff for memories I will never forget 🇬🇷
My #plants are mostly my friends these days. So many beautiful varieties come (and sometimes go) from my apartment. I’ve always been an avid collector of things and now this hobby is no different. Most of them are from @fantastic.gardens , which is hands down the best place in NYC for finding your next plant baby.

Flashing back a couple months ago to a High Jewelry shoot for @DuJourMedia , photographed by @StudioWestbrook 🖤 with creative direction and styling from yours truly! I’ve wanted to put together a still life shoot involving menacing, thieving #beetles for years. It’s a personal homage to an editorial that I loved from afar, at the first magazine I worked for in NYC (that was also called… CITY!). OH BOY and let me tell you, having a Facetime tutorial on working with the beetles, before they were shipped to me, now that’s not something you get to experience every day. 🪲 Thank you to Lawrence at @god_of_insects for your patience and your #bugs + @natashawolff for gathering the #jewels!

THE grand dame, @HelenMirren covers the fall edition @DuJourMedia . Had a blast working on this one two months ago in dearly beloved London (pre-strike). My flight got me to there on time, but my luggage didn't make it until the following day — that was a first. Thankfully no one cared that I was wearing denim cutoffs and a tee shirt that was about as distressed as my mental state! Never a dull moment. Love that Nick Thompson photographed the editorial on film. I used this as a cue for the story layout, which similarly has more of a handmade feel (down to physically writing out the headline).

Last week at this time I was (frantically) packing for a short but sweet trip to London for a cover shoot. You can imagine my anxiety when I had a flight canceled, then another delayed flight I barely got onto worked out—but sans my checked luggage! That colored the first half of my stay, living in the same tee shirt for like 30 hours. Once my suitcase arrived and I had free time to explore #regentspark and #queenmarysrosegarden at such a perfect time of year… it was truly breathtaking, glorious even. I love #London so much, part of me wishes that I tried harder to move there. It was also great to get to catch up and collaborate with @catherine.g.hall as well as stay again at the charming @thehoxtonhotel Shorditch (which serves a vegan iteration of full English breakfast, which was to die for). Once this concluded, it was (agsin, frantically) off to Mykonos… 🇬🇷 thanks @natashawolff !

Couldn’t be happier with the team that made this shoot come alive (I still can’t believe I even get to be in the same place as these people). It was Not an easy task to pick a cover, the hardest in perhaps years. An embarrassment of RICHES, I tell ya 💎 p.s. @SalmaHayek covers the winter issue of @DuJourMedia in all her glory! We put this together back in October and it was my first shoot in London since just before the pandemic hit. I think at one point we had a solid 20-25 people on set, the most in a while. Everyone had the best outlook and truly made it a day to remember. Nick, you smashed it (I remain thankful that you didn’t topple over into the bath, getting That cover shot). Hard to believe this marks my twentieth issue working on the magazine 🤍
