Meistens bin ich hier viel zu langsam für Recaps oder Rückblicke – aber bevor bald der nächste neue @fridagold Song kommt, an dem wir gemeinsam gearbeitet haben, will ich unbedingt noch kurz auf die MORGENROT EP aus September 2025 zurückschauen.
Erst im Januar haben wir festgestellt, dass wir inzwischen seit 10 Jahren gemeinsame Wege gehen – vor allem live und auf Tour.
Für dieses neue Kapitel und die neue Musik durfte ich diesmal auch im Studio den Mix beisteuern. Ich bin sehr dankbar, dass Alina und Andi mir diesen großen Schritt anvertraut haben.
Mein Dank geht auch an @daniel_flamm und @robingrubert . Bedeutet mir viel, dass wir so zusammengefunden haben.

to a year that i still am coming down from.
2025 was tough love.
I counted close to 150 full production days, that‘s without any travel or office time. Spent at least 30 more days in the studio, too.
But what do those numbers even mean -
It goes without saying that I‘ve been pushing it a bit too far.
I‘ve seen a lot of my colleagues and friends struggle under the pressure and strain the current music industry and touring puts on us, artist and crew alike. In the end I was no exception, just absolutely exhausted. And still we celebrate the work and the lifestyle for good reasons, too.
But hey, my favorite succulent (on slide 10) blossomed for the second year in a row and this time I was in luck to briefly be at home for it.
There is intense gratification in a show well delivered and received.
But a show or a project not feeling right can really unsettle one‘s core for a while. Relationships with an artist or project may change any given day, sometimes it‘s way beyond your control.
Still I am grateful for the continuous trust people put in me and my work.
It will always mean a lot.

I can see his glasses lying on the table next to my travel bialetti espresso maker that has been with me for longer than i can remember. i‘m still making espresso with it on tour all the time.
