Plakboys is a Tilburg-based DJ collective with a mission to amplify the visibility of women and non-binary artists in the creative field. Born from a shared love for bass, jungle and breaks, A Bel, DjBouti, Izzy, and Lemon are building a space where women are the foundation of everything they do.
Their own events are characterized by a strong sense of community, where BIPOC women and non-binary individuals are given center stage to showcase their talents, with bass-oriented sounds at the core.
Plakboys shows that a strong community starts with friendship and having fun: together!

a lemon bel are two longtime best friends who found each other through music, with a mutual love for bass, dark dubstep, breaks, and a lot of experimental sounds and noises. Through their collective, Plakboys, they organize events and create space for local women+ in the creative scene.
Their sets explore the underground spectrum, moving fluidly between genres without limits. Rooted in friendship and passion, they aim to share that energy with everyone who listens. It all means more when you do it together.

We talked about playing as a duo and how it united us even more as best friends, about @plakboys_ and female representation in the creative field and about our hometown Tilburg.
