What does it mean to be fully human in an age of global complexity? This short film by Tommy Gärdh of Visionary Films Stockholm brings together reflections from the Creative Bridges EUROTAS gathering in Oxford to explore that question. Through insights from leading voices in transpersonal psychology, the video explores how becoming more fully human begins with inner attention, embodiment, and relationship. Transpersonal psychology is presented not as an abstract pursuit, but as a whole-person approach that builds bridges between ancient wisdom traditions and contemporary research, grounding consciousness in lived experience, ecology, and place. Speakers reflect on the metacrisis shaping our world and the sense of disorientation it can bring. Rather than dispersing ourselves across every global problem, the invitation is to return home to ourselves, to recognise our specific role, and to serve from where we are rooted. A new paper in Consciousness, Spirituality, and Transpersonal Psychology investigates how do we make sense of powerful psychedelic experiences once the journey itself has ended? In her article, “Rewilding Ourselves through Psychedelic Integration: Participation in the ACER Integration Cycle”, Rosie Leeson explores the lived experience of psychedelic integration through the ACER framework: Accept, Connect, Embody, Restore. Published in the Alef Trust Journal, this study draws on intuitive inquiry and interviews with adults taking part in the ACER integration cycle. The findings highlight psychedelic integration as a deeply personal, non-linear process, one that unfolds over time and is strengthened by embodiment, reflective practice, and community support. Paths to Knowing Consciousness and Reality: From the Indigenous to the Academic How do we come to know reality? Through science, mathematics and academic inquiry? Through direct experience, nature connection, dreaming, ritual and indigenous wisdom? Or through a deeper conversation between them all? Part of the Science of Consciousness Series, this seven-day gathering at The Pari Center invites participants to explore consciousness and reality from multiple perspectives, bringing together western intellectual traditions with older experiential paths of knowing. Across the week, speakers will examine questions at the heart of human existence: 🌿 What is consciousness? 🌿 What is reality? 🌿 How are the self, nature and the universe connected? 🌿 Can indigenous knowledge and modern science speak meaningfully to one another? 🌿 How might practices such as Qigong, shamanism, dreaming and nature connection expand our understanding of reality? 🌿 What can quantum thinking, ancient wisdom and lived experience teach us about disconnection, anxiety and reconnection? This is not a conventional conference.
